I thank him for Kessel, Kadri, Phaneuf, Lupul, JVR, Rielly, and Franson.... but I'm glad he's gone.

And Gardiner and Reimer (he put the belief in him). But ya I can't say I miss him, thankful for the team he built compared to what we had, but he's not missed.

As a GM he did a wonderful, masterful job re0building the Leafs after JFJ torched the Leafs. As a personality, I didn't care for Burke's bravado & demeanor. I didn't care for his false promises that he was going be draft Tavares at #1. Or his oddball illogical excuses why the Leafs kept missung the playoffs under his reign. Or how he would toot his own horn at all the free agents he signed but yet thos players were still playing like crap.

SO yes I applaud the job Burke did but I will never miss the man.

I get people don't like Burke's attitude, but to be happy that the man is gone is... Leaf fan-ish. Guy did exactly what we wanted to happen, took control back of the team from MLSE and produced a team that is finally a playoff team. Everyone's acting like a bunch of women and paying attention to what he says and not what he's done.

Probably the same people who wanted to take the Oilers route for this team. Burke's a d!ck don't get me wrong, but he's a world class GM. Also I loved that he took the attention away from the team. No players in the NHL have more pressure on them than the Leafs (superstars aside) and Burke alleviated them of that pressure with his antics.

I hate pumping the guys tires but I hate the idea of a bunch of suits having the final say in hockey decisions way more.

He's rocking it in Worcester this season. How does a guy lead his team in +/- by a +31 to +15 count in comparision with the next best forward on his team suck in his own zone? I know its not a tell all stat, but two +30 seasons and great numbers in the AHL thus far don't really indicate to me the player you described. His coach in the AHL loves him.

Just to point out, he kept his promise of a five year plan made the playoffs in year 4, now in first place in year 5.......
