Well if you still had majority odds that gives teams good enough reason to tank still IMO. It sucks but so goes the NHL. Thus we should try and acquire as many 2015 lottery picks as humanly possible which won't happen most likely. I really hope NYI will defer their pick

I'd like a lottery with the entire set of teams. Playoff team wins it - moves up 10 places, maximum 6th overall (16th-6th). Non-playoff team (outside of bottom 5) wins it - Moves up 4 places, maximum 2nd overall (6th-2nd). Bottom 5 wins it - 1st overall guaranteed. I'd have the worst team have a 50% chance, with the better teams decreasing in odds. Worst team would have only 50% of retaining the pick by winning the lottery themselves, but would also retain the pick if a team from 16-6 won the lottery.

I hate that Sacco has been brought in as an assistant here. The players hated him inn Colorado. Look how well they are doing with him gone. I have read comments that the players have spoken out about his coaching now that he is gone.

The Sabres as I see them:

1st line Talent: Maybe Moulson.....maybe
2nd Liners: Possibly CoHo....Possibly Ennis
Solid NHL 3rd Liners: Steve Ott, Ville LEino, Drew Stafford, Marcus Foligno
4th Liners: Tropp, Kaleta and Girgensons
1st pairing Defense: .............hmmmmm......NOPE
2nd pairing defense: Erhohoff
3rd pairing d: Pysyk, Myers and Weber

If they are not on this list they should be in the AHL or Juniors. Over time a few of the current players may prove to be 1st or 2nd tier NHL'ers, but as of Today the sabres really don't have any 1st line type players.

That team you just posted is a PILLAR of awfulness. Ennis a second line player,with his one point. Stafford is the epitome of what is wrong with this team. Lazy,doesn't care and is a pussssss. Leino is a mess. Weber is a minus 15 and is only on team because of ott.. Myers 3 rd pairing after paying him 12 mill last year,what a mess

If you have a legit 1st and second line you would be happy with a guy like stafford playing a 3rd line role. The problem with these players on this roster is they are expected to be more then they are. Weber is a -15 when they are playing him in a top 4 role. As a 3rd Defense pairing playing against 3rd and 4th line forwards he would be ok. Plus all of these players are being asked to skate with pguys that should be in the AHL or Juniors.....I didnt say that myeres was being paid like a # 5 or 6 defendor, I am merely stating the opinion that he has the ability and skill of a 3 rd pairing defenseman in the NHL....If he was your #5 D-man you would be in good shape.

Not yet....He is not strong enough on the puck and he lacks high end speed....I could see him becoming a #3 or 4 down the road, but if he was on one of the better teams in the NHL he would be a 3rd pairing defender

Stafford has checked out three years ago,they are to stupid to realize that. Ott as a third line player,wait until you hear very soon tht ott wants 5 years and 30 million,for a guy who skates around aimlessly
