You really think so? Then they should probably never lose a game then with the talent on their team - sbroads24
they missed the playoffs how many times since theyve had him? |

If they pick Toews they run into the same problem they did with staal. Jonathon Toews would not want to spend the rest of his career playing as a third line C. |

In sorry but Crosby alone doesn't make this team great. No player would, that's why it's called a rebuild, you're rebuilding the whole team, not just one player. Bottom line Reinhart helps us become more talented. End of story, you take him. Don't trade the pick - sbroads24
But it is easier to attract free agents to come to your team if you have a "Crosby" like entity, so in essence it is a factor in that process. |

I look at it this way, the team is awful and we're going to continue. We don't need Ekblad, and one of reinhart or nylander is a sabre in 7 months. I also think we're going to be bad next year, and maybe not McDavid bad, but maybe, and we'll probably get a top player for our offense anyways. If we were almost McDavid bad, maybe you add Myers or somebody else and like 2-3 1sts and a couple seconds idk. I feel like whoever we get this year will be a nice player to have but if we don't get to the promised land and get 1st overall for mcdavid next year, we could have options to go all in for him with assets. It might still not work then but "it's possible." |

Is anyone else pissed about the whole lottery? The fact that the worst team has only 25% chance get number 1 is pretty unfair, especially in drafts like McDavid's. I'd be iffy even with 50/50, but 25% is just ridiculous. I don't understand why they went from the lottery winner moving up 4 spots all the way to the winner getting the #1 overall guaranteed... I say they should give the #1 to the lottery winner only if they are in the bottom 5. The other 11 non-playoff teams should only move up 4 spots like before. |

The Sabres as I see them:
1st line Talent: Maybe Moulson.....maybe
2nd Liners: Possibly CoHo....Possibly Ennis
Solid NHL 3rd Liners: Steve Ott, Ville LEino, Drew Stafford, Marcus Foligno
4th Liners: Tropp, Kaleta and Girgensons
1st pairing Defense: .............hmmmmm......NOPE
2nd pairing defense: Erhohoff
3rd pairing d: Pysyk, Myers and Weber
If they are not on this list they should be in the AHL or Juniors. Over time a few of the current players may prove to be 1st or 2nd tier NHL'ers, but as of Today the sabres really don't have any 1st line type players.

Gives less incentive to teams from trying to do what we are doing. Which is tanking. |

I can understand that, but making the odds not only below majority, but well-under it isn't right.
Flip a coin twice. The odds that you get the same side twice in a row is the same odds that we get the #1 if we finish last... I hate that |
