Took my daughter out last night and one guy told us he wasn't giving out candy because he "doesn't believe in Halloween".

I've been cheap as (frank) for a long time. But the people I know who count, don't do it for budgetary reasons. They are old, and don't eat candy, and having a surplus large enough to feed an elementary school isn't really something they're interested in doing. On the same note, they don't want to run out and have to turn away kids.

last kid who shows up at my place usually makes a pretty good haul in that the entire bowl gets dumped in his bag.

His door was open, lights were on. But he was in his garage, so we just walked up to him (others in the neighbourhood were doling out from their garage as well).

My daughter is 15 months old.

I really don't care...I just want to get rid of all those candies while my wife is out with the oldest collecting more I'll end up eating 20lbs of candies a day for 2 weeks then be forced to eat only celery and asparagus for the next month after.
