Went to see the nephew play hockey today...seeing a kid leave on a stretcher is a tough sight.

One-on-one battle, he was going pretty fast, when he got near the net he took a shot but lost his balance doing it, and fell head first into the boards. One of their coaches stepped on the ice, and one of ours went to help as well. After a little while, our coach came back running towards the infirmary to get the gurney yelling to the crowd "someone call 911"

I saw the kid was moving his arms and legs, so it could have been worse. He had back pain apparently...probably just lost breath for a while as well. Still, he was taken to the hospital on an ambulance.

The little girl from our team who played defense against him on the play was crying after the game, she felt responsible for what happened, it wasn't her fault at all. It was heartbreaking
