Going to Mike Barkann and Ike Reese for hockey analysis is like going to a kindergarten teacher for your calculus homework.

you can say that again

An underrated aspect to this trade is it pushes Rosehill to the Cote suite on a permanent basis.
- PLindbergh31

Hopefully. I'm not convinced that will be the reality.

and Mike and Ike just said Berube doesn't have offensive skills and is a player like Berube was. *sigh*

I know, I know, why do I listen? I canceled by Sirius script tho

Not sure how it isn't reality. They need someone to center the 4th line don't they?

I'm not questioning the logic, just whether they'll see things your way.

So if Hall is scratched who plays 4th center and PK?
- Marc D

you know, this Downie move may result in Rosehill being a healthy scratch in favor of Hall game in and out. Praise god!

Pronger, Hartnell and Rinaldo are all jackasses... do you not cheer every time they chirp, face-wash, and/or put somebody on their ass?

I get that Talbot is a cute, lovable teddy bear, and Downie is like a yucky half-eaten squirrel that your cat brought home to you... but that doesn't stop the trade from making sense from an on-ice perspective.

Flyers needed a top-9 winger now, they had Hall as a healthy scratch, and they'll have Laughton coming in next season... Talbot's a nice player to have, but he was completely expendable, now and in the future. They got a nice player back for him -- I'm happy.

- Tomahawk

so was Richards. well he was more of a Richard. loved him

So Hall and Downie in. Talbot and Rosehill out? I can live with that

i agree, i've seen both do the wrong way but they made the right call. i just think we get boned a little more than we should. mike emerick (who i despise as an announcer) referenced a conversation with a former player and made a comment about the flyers "before the flyers were an annoying team" during the bruins/pens game the other night. that attitude carries over into other areas, in my opinion. for example, it would not surprise me if steve downie goes to the box more as a flyer than he did as a bolt or av

Downie and Zac need to play smart
Rinaldo was doing well last yr, communicating with the refs and not mouthing off after getting a penalty.

I've heard some rumors that Downie has been mouthing off after bad calls and maybe getting in trouble over it.

Lappy and Chief likely have some work to do with him in this area.

pretty much. it just makes me crazy to hear them say stuff like that because there is a good portion of WIP listeners who also don't have a clue and hear that nosense.
