Simmonds isn't really the problem - at least he drew a powerplay. I don't think I've seen so many 'didn't get it deep' plays that were there for the taking in one period before. Look at that goal - awful lackadaisical play to clear the zone.

He still has trade value for a team that needs someone to stand in front of the net.

No it's one thing to struggle. It's something else to completely lose any puck control you have. My 14 year old cousin is a better puck handler.

Mason has to have that, and will someone please teach this (frank)ing team how to clear the damn puck, every game it's the same Chinese fire drill with the puck in their zone and it comes back to bite them.

If only they took offsides out of the game. Than we could tell him to just skate over there as soon as he was put on the ice and he could get back to his career average of 9 goals a season.

I honestly think the Flyers need to just go all in on their 1st unit. At least that line can maximize opportunities to score. Put Jake up on the wing with G and VLC.

I'm not saying Simmons is THE reason. But he does kill a lot of offensive cycles. I think he needs to be traded because he doesn't have good enough puck Poseidon to play on a second line and cd not play defense on a third line.
