Simmonds, Laughton, Coburn, 2nd for Yakupov and Hemsky.

Even trade IMO. You have to give up some youth to get someone that is a number overall pick and will be a perrenial all-star.

It would never happen. Probably couldn't get Yakupov alone for that.

Pretty sure Edmonton would consider that for Yakupov ....

Anyone know if Downie is playing on the first line?

They may consider it, but I doubt they agree. They'd want more youth and at least a first round pick in the deal in my opinion.

Oh I forgot Simmonds, and Laughton were so Old. And I forgot that the Flyers were so good that the 2nd rounder was going to be in the 50-60's not the 30-40s.

It was a joke, Bo...Witt was in town with the Isles near that Starbucks and got hit by a car. He was unhurt.

There was a qualifier in my post of MORE youth. If you want Yakupov from Edmonton start with Couturier or B Schenn, and a first round pick and go from there.

I started with Laughton and went from there. And I addressed the fact they need defensive help.

Don't see that getting it done. A deal I could see getting a conversation started would be something like Couturier or B Schenn, Laughton, and a 1st.

So I am sick today, I go to the doctor and get some prescriptions to fill. I go in to the local Rite Aid and this dumbass pharmacist lady who sucks at her job is there. I hand her the scripts, and she asks me, "Yeahhhh....do you need these by tonight?" Of course I do. So she goes, "Could you come back tomorrow? I am really busy and I am not feeling well."

What a (frank)ing idiot. She has done some really dumb stuff, but this one takes the cake.

I like the changes Chief made in a very short period. The team improved on a lot of issues pretty quickly. Berube seems to have a great hockey mind.

That being said, I just don't understand dressing Rosehill in so many games.

Rinaldo, Hartnell L, Schenn and now Downie can somewhat fight and defend teammates. Hopefully with the addition of Downie, will see more of Hall.

Laughton is another I hope they keep. Liked him when I saw him live a few months before he was drafted & even more now.

I agree on what Berube has done. Strategy wise he has this team playing the right system. I'm fine with Rosehill as the 13th forward, but he shouldn't be playing this many games. I think he's played 8 out of 11 so far if I'm not mistaken. At the same time, I don't want any of those players having to take on enforcers from another team.

True, but how many times guys turn down fights and skate away mouthing off.

A 180 pound Rinaldo isn't taking on Parros anytime soon you know.

I wouldn't count on Rinaldo or Simmonds skating away from Parros if they felt they had to stand up for a teammate. That's the problem.

The reality is that the amount of times in a Season where you truly need an enforcer, is limited. I think they should only play Rosehill when they feel there may be some potential nastiness. Otherwise he should remain the 13th forward. But with that being said, I don't have a problem with when he's in the lineup. Capable of playing a 4th line shift.

If Laughton and Cousins continue their progression aren't they both just about due for some serious NHL action next year? Add in McGinn too. Definitely not enough room for all of these young forwards.
