Why do i continue to put myself through reading Garths crap.

Rolston coached US development squad for years. Pretty sure he knows how to at least develop young guys

- Otsegolectric

But can he coach men??

Answer is obvious

Yeah, terrible idea to suspend a guy who's been going around targeting skill players. Should have gotten something in the pre-season so this is the least he should be dumped with.

Nobody.

Scott is a goon who has no other redeeming factors on an NHL rink. Whether he can or can't be there, he will never make a positive impact on the game. Time for him to hang up his skates.

(frank), even Colton Orr can skate up to ten minutes a night without being a liability...

Blah Blah Blah...He got what he deserved and in my opinion it's 2 games to many. Google the head hit suspensions and show me where he deserved more. Most received 1-3 games some were worse and others not. I'm not condoning what he did but he is a first time offender and just because he is a fighter and nothing more doesn't mean he should be treated differently.

You're from Toronto and you hate Buffalo and Scott, I get it but be objective. Garbutt skated cross ice from the penalty box and left his feet to hit Penner and received 5 games.

Your comment about pre-season, no harm no foul he never touched Kessel and Kessel is the one who swung his stick with intent to injure and only received 3 pre-season games which is a blessing to most players. Before you claim Kessel is an angel he swung his stick at a Flyer player the game before the Buffalo game.

Kessel should have gotten more too!

I think this is about right for Scott. First time or not. Needs to realize it can't happen again.

This would be about the right length of suspension if it was applied to everyone for this sort of hit. But fact it's inflated because Scott isn't a star player is ridiculous.

a multi-time offender like Max Lapierre

Not a multi-time offender per the CBA in regards to suspensions. Can't even get one sentence out aobut the Blues without being factually wrong, apparently.

I couldn't agree more...under the present way of handing out suspensions this was fair. The question is when are these players going to respect one anothers health and life. The NHL should make it an automatic 20 games the second offense and 40 the 3rd offense and so on. Maybe when the repeat offenders are losing 25 to 50% of their pay they will learn.

He's suspended for 7 because it's a shot across the now to the Sabres organization. They are trying to field a loser team to tank out for draft picks. But, instead of just losing, they dress a meat head lineup that's going out and injuring players. Quit dressing guys like Scott and Kaleta and injuring players and you won't get massive suspensions. You think scoot wants to lose 10% of his paycheque again? Nope!

Do they issue blinders to EVERYONE in TO? Phylis is swinging 2 handlers because Scott said Boo, and Scott is the bad guy. Scott, 6'8" sakes by a Bruin and shifts his body to make contact of shoulder to the chin...gets 7 games. Wait until Scott wacks Phylis over the head with his man toy...that is going to be fun,, fun, fun

I am sure the NHL called Scott after the Leafs game and said do cause trouble for a while or we will come down hard on you. Although there was nothing he could be suspended for against the Leafs he started the whole thing.

I am sure it has to do with kaleta too.

You guys are a lot more competitive with Scott and Kaleta out of the lineup. If you ar gonna let the young guys play get rid of these 2 and give some yung guys a chance.

Kess comment. Scott deserved 5 at the most. The guy really is a gentle giant.. And does have some hockey skill otherwise wouldn't be in the NHL or have been drafted. Pretty sure it won't happen again. Odd that it actually happened the first time.

When the guys are on the ice and as fast as the game is going. Do you really think they evaluate the skill level before they hit someone ? Pull up your girly pants

Just like a Habs fan. Biggest whiners in NHL.

I always thought people in Montreal knew hockey till I got Center Ice. Anytime someone falls 20,000 people moan so sad for an original 6 city

As a Leafs fan you're probably just not that used to actual crowd noise in the arena. I guess it's tougher to moan when you've got a mouthful of sushi...

You are correct but this team can't even make a tape to tape pass...it's fundamental hockey. You have a veteran player in Ehrhoff who leaves a player alone in front to set up a screen without even an effort to give Miller a chance to see the shot. Rolston is way over his head but that is what the Sabres brass wants and mark my words when it gets its top players in the next two drafts Rolston will be gone.

Biggest thing I hate about being a Leaf fan. Seats cost too much for real fans to show up.
