Truthfully, you never know. Spezza has been known to do a lot on his own. Grinders like Conacher and Neil will do nothing but cause issues and create some space for Spezza to do some work. As people mention, the Michalek-Smith-Zibanejad line is intriguing- hopefully they can light a spark with Michalek, because he's been relatively invisible all season.
I think the main part of this experiment is to get players to simplify their games- the Sens need to get back to basics, end of story. They've been simply horrific leaving their own end, and equally as bad carrying it into the attacking blue line.
I think the most disappointing player this year has been Cowen. He really needs to understand his role as the next Chris Phillips- a solid, large, shutdown defender with some offensive ability. He hopefully has a little more offensive flair than Bigrig, but he can't keep making untimely pinches and turning over the puck deep.

This is the biggest issue. The Sens have had average scoring this season so far. It's the awful defense that has been the problem. However, I feel like they are looking a little better, not a lot, but a little.
This big issue here with carrying the puck into the zone is Karlsson. He has looked better at skating every game he's played. And helped set up Turris' goal with his entry pass to Mccarther last game. If he can continue to improve it will help a lot, and I think the whole team will improve as a result.
