if we do, can we get peter schaeffer to play in our top six? - sensarmy_11
To be fair, he was usually on line 3 with Fisher, but I think Bonk may still be available now that Pageau is in Bingo and a center spot has opened up! |

This is a good shake up to bring some forwards play back to the basics. The Turris line is by far our best line and we'll have a better chance of winning if they are played as L1. The Zacky line will do some damage I predict, giving him MM9 to finish where 15 and 93 were creating a ton of chances. As long as the Spezza Neil combo isn't played as a first line, I can't see the big fuss. I would even try Condra with Spezza and Conacher as the game goes on. Greening better stay on the fourth line.
As for D, having 46 on his strong side will make a tremendous difference, IMO. Karlsson can carry any dman not named Corvo. This is a good temporary change. Stop hating on Anderson. |

Alright, this is getting ridiculous... can we just agree that Yashin would make this team a cup favourite and stop this nonsense? |

no thanks...i expect given his age, injuries, and mileage, he'd be one of the worst d-men on our team............and THAT'S saying something |

That would be ideal to me. I honestly think Neil has been far and away the worst player on the team this year. Every time Sens get momentum Neil gets out next shift and takes a penalty. I love the guy but he has no business playing in a top six role. |

Skill wise, yes, he's terrible. Can't argue that the guy doesn't have the compete level we could use right now though. The heart's there, but the body's broken... |

Neil for Downie? I'm surprised the Avs let him go for Talbot... Maybe Roy brought in Talbot as a translator. He's a little hard of hearing what with his two Stanley Cup rings plugging his ears |

I wonder if the Paulrus isn't trying to make a statement to Murray (and Melnyk): you gave me chicken poop on D, and I have run out of ways to make it look like chicken salad. |

Little harsh, considering the competition he and the team has faced. He's been mediocre, sure, but he's seeing a lot of pucks and isn't getting a ton of help from his defensemen. - mralexjt
That's funny, didn't hear anything last year from Sens fans about his competition when he was playing lights out. Now statistically he's one of the worst goalies in the league and it's because he's faced some tough competition? How about the d stinks and they need Anderson/Lehner to carry them. Which isn't happening right now.
The Sens, like the Leafs need above average to outstanding goaltending to win games consistently and make the playoffs. Right now only one of these teams are getting it. I guess that's because of the competition. |

Serious Q: if it's Spezza being demoted to the third-line, are you less irritated by it?
That seems to me the big thing here. What's the actual ordering? How will ice be allocated? - Travis Yost
Neil should be in the F-ing press box. The guy is a joke. Case in point when he punched a guy in the face, right after scoring a goal in the face off circle....
What a tard. I can't wait til they ship his as$ out of town. |

Alfredsson can f-off. Asking for 7mil - not worth it, I'd lowball his swedish as$ too after that.
Who would you take, Ryan for next two seasons and possibly more or Alfie for one more....dont bother answering cuz anyone with any idea will say Ryan... |

I'm surprised you take so much time away from wacking it to your phaneuf poster to post so often in a sens thread.

Well actually, Ottawa is averaging 1500 fans less then last year - average ticket at $100 and that's $150 000 game.
So far that's $600 000 this season in 4 home games.
Average that over 42 games = $6.5 million = Pay Alfie his money. |
