On the second one - this is true, but a judge can usually approve of the travel, and is more likely to do so if it involves the person's job (ex., all these celebrities flying all over while awaiting the trial). Travel to Canada may be another story. Lots depends on the facts.

Yeah, there's lots we don't know. What often happens in the celebrity cases is that the media plays it up REAL big, and then the reality is less severe than it first appears. One of my favorites is the quoting of the maximum prison sentence - "he could get 50 years!!!" That never happens - the max is for serious repeat offenders. Without knowing the story at all, I would bet he'll plea down to a misdemeanor and get no time at all.

I've heard stories like that, too, even for cases 5-10 years old. I remember Probert having problems in that area too.

Congrats to Red Sox fans everywhere. Since the NBA stated yesterday, we had two mights where all of the four major sports were in season at once.
