Respectfully, the shot blocking (small sample size) is pretty much allowing one more shot through every 4 games as compared to last year. I personally think Crow is too deep in his net on the PK, allowing some deflections to travel further and change direction more, giving him less of a chance to get a positional save. I also wondered whether the goalie coach change has anything to do with it. Price's PK SV% has skyrocketed this year (again, I know, sample size, but I don't want to wait to game 40 to make opinions) so that could maybe be part of it?

Respectfully unless you rate every shot in terms of being in a viable scoring zone looking at total shots can be deceiving,

I notice a lot of shots coming from closer in ...top of circles or between the hash marks.

I do agree about him being too deep at times, especially during a recent loss.

Sample size is small but my guess is Waite is helping Price a lot. One of their scouts told me Price is playing like himself and maybe the Olympics have added a little juice to his game.

Like I said Crawford can be better but until he strings together poor performances I will cut some slack...He had a short summer too.

Also Kruger was great last year on the PK...I know Frolik is gone but Kruger hasn't played well imo this year.

My guess is offensive zone time on the PP has been greater for opponents...At least it seems that way.

It all matters

I agree, Kruger hasn't been as good. To your last point, you are correct obviously, but its more fun for me to dissect it

Been one of the disappointments of the year so far....hopefully he turns it around. Let's not forget the first one of the season just ended.....some players are slow starters. All in all I'm pretty happy with the start for the Hawks, considering short off season and supposed cup hang over. We can look to just last year on how The Kings started, they didn't get rolling till the second half of the season.

He's already served 3 of those games. I think he should have gotten at least 10 games.

I'm sure the Kane and Sharp experiments at 2C are both long over. It was Brian Hedger on Twitter reporting the quotes from Kane and Sharp on Pirri. it was just nnice to see them thrown support behind Pirri. I know players alway stick up for each other but I found this to be a bit more genuine.

I would tend to agree DK. There is no doubt about Sharp being a leader on this team. As for Kane, My opinion is its the continuing evolution of him being more of a leader.

Agreed. I still want to see want Shanaban does when a star player like Shea Weber hammers someone with a bad hit.

2nd place in the division and 19 out of a possible 26 points is not a bad start at all. Once the kinks get all worked out, the Hawks will be a real dangerous team going forward.

Agreed EK The positive to me is while they may not have played well in spurts, it doesn't appear to me to be a lack of interest or effort.

You could possibly maybe tie the break downs in third period to lack of conditioning.
