That would be the easiest solution but something tells me it's wishful thinking.
- rtang415

Agreed. However, I think the organization is still going to give him a few more chances. Just spitballing, but I figure that by the end of the month, either Khabby is going to be playing better or I'll be watching him in Rockford come December 1st. Safe money says Rockford.

Like it or not, I have a feeling that Khabby is still going to be around for a little while yet.

What if that solution is Khabby putting it together and playing better?
- EKolb13

i am hoping so too - it would make managements job much easier and allow CC and the team to breathe a little easier.

It will also allow Raanta to get in much more playing time in Rockford.

It will be a big mistake to admit and also a costly one.

They will give Khabby some time and Raanta will benefit from not being rushed.

Just a general comment that will be dismissed by some or maybe not appreciated.

I have been coming on this board for many years, actually there wasn't a Hawks blogger on HB before me.

I still come on because there is some good hockey discussions and many of the people have been here for years. Also I like John and he keeps the discussions in line.

Lately I have been noticing there is a lot of personal crap, arguing etc, almost to the point where there is pages of arguments that go beyond hockey logic.

No one on here knows everything, that includes myself.

We have all come along way with the Hawks, before things centered around constantly complaining about a poor team....There was a time when there was nothing else to talk about.

Now it seems there is more time left to criticize each other....

It's not cool and the most effective discussions about hockey are those that never get personal.

At least that is the way it should be and for the most part was in the past.

Too bad they aren't still at the old Stadium. A drunken tumble down the stairs would solve this issue.

Agreed. But how long is management going to let this go on if Khabby can't put it together? I'm sure Q could lean on Crawford a little bit more for a while, but eventually he's going to need some rest and Q needs to have a reliable back-up.

Well said, Al.

More often than not I read the blogs and ignore the threads anymore, this stuff gets so freaking childish.

And with Esplen's spectacularly entertaining homerism gone as well as Ogi repenting from his irrational Sharp hatred, this place is not nearly as fun as it used to be.

First if all, don't lump vodka-breath's hideous % in with CC's. Secondly, what have you been watching? You don't see the blasts right off the lost FOs? Blaming Crow for 'bulin's stench is like blaming Toews for Krug's FO% because they're both centers. The PK is bad because of a bad scheme and/or failure to execute.

Irrational post.

- Q...argh

coaching?
We know the Hawks pk was horrendous the 2011-2 season. Last year was crazy, as Frolik and Kruger were clicking right off the bat. The one thing i noticed last year, these guys kind of were on the 4th line and limited playing time. Thus they were alot fresher come pk time. Now Kruger is getting a little more time on some of the other lines (2 and 3) which could effect pk effectiveness. Was this coaching and Frolik being more aggressive and confident? did Frolik compliment and bring out the best out of Kruger? Just an observation.

Another observation and need some stats, who was on the ice when most pk goals were scored this year?

Sadly, they are not really good about admitting mistakes. See Brunette, Andrew and Scott, John.

Indeed. However, unlike Brunette & Scott Q can't hide him in the press box or limit him to 3 minutes a game. Q has to play Khabby.
