Seriously though he played well last night, he's definitely a serviceable 5-6 defenseman.

That's like any team though man. Were really luck to have Bernier and Reimer at
a combined 4.7 cap hit. It's ridiculous actually

Look at Carolina right now. Justin Peters. Were developing a couple guys in the Marlies that could hopefully be competent backups one day.

I agree. Our defense prospects are probably top 5 in the league. Percy, MacWilliam, Granberg, Finn have a good shot of being full-time NHLers.

With neither goalie getting more than 50 games over a season it'd be a bit harder for them to press for quite as much money as they could were they playing a full season. Schneider split with Lu and only got 4m per.

Plus the market for goalies isn't great right now. Only a handful of teams really need a goalie, Miller's on the market, and Lundqvist could hit UFA if NYR doesn't get its act together.

I think this ends up being a bit tougher than we'd like it to be. Plus I don't remember us having the greatest record in CGY over the past few years if I'm not mistaken.

Phil and JVR get a couple points each tonight. Clarkson bangs home his first rebound goal (unless Kadri uses his ass again to knock it in and steal his thunder) and Bernie has a good game.
And i will fall down the very steep stairs of the saddledome, spilling beer on the nearest person wearing a flames jersey... by mistake.

Yeah outside of the SJ and Dallas game Calgary has not given up any easy points. I wouldn't be surprised if Toronto lost tonight.

I wouldn't even be a shocked to see them pitch a stinker and lose 2 points to the Corsi Gods (and refs too, lulz Habtreds)... Bernier has been average to good recently...

I'm doing okay, how about you?

The Leafs are still a little sloppy but I will take the points and hope they tighten it up a bit.

Argh.

At least there's no more Kipper, Iggy, and Giordano to deal with anymore.

As long as they don't take them lightly and let their recent success get to their heads they should be ok.

Plus there'll be lots of Blue in the stands tonight.

I doubt it. Right now they are without Stempniak (Sp) and Giordano, both of which have been very strong to begin the season.

Corsi?

Rename Kanata 'Corsi' and they'll turn things around in Ottawa.

I don't blame you - I think it's become ingrained into Leafs fans brain. When ever the team does well, prepare for the worst...

Ditto.

But Cam Ward would have found a way to screw us over even without Bernie goofing up.

I'm worried about the curse of "C". All our losses coming from teams starting with the letter C. We have to defeat our demons!
