Maybe the leafs don't need to take more shots, maybe they should be more concerned with how many shots their tenders are having to stop. Granted the leafs tenders are demi gods right now, it won't last.

I have watched the same thing happen with the habs when JM was coaching, the only difference was that the Leafs are getting their offense from a high shooting percentage and the habs at the time depended on a Number PP for their offense.

but we are going on game 63 of this. Their record when being outshot is much better than when they outshoot.

It will bring you into the playoffs sure, but you can't get outplayed like that in the playoffs. You may sneak one or two round sin but eventually a team is going to capitalize.

Also as fan, how fun is it watching your team defend a lead for half the game, hoping that the tender hangs on?

You don't necessarily need more shots if you have the goals, but atleast try and maintain pressure in the other end, every second out of your end is a second that you don't have to worry about losing.

Working on doing that while things are going right seems like a better idea then working on it after it has gone to hell.

Well, in a sense he did but he was in a bad spot to deal anyway. We (Kings fans) knew how good he was but being a backup to Quick (and playing in LA) he was still looked at as a risk for other teams so we got the best deal we could.

So far I like Frattin but he seems to have 1 foot in the doghouse already. Scrivens has been a solid backup thus far for us though.

I don't know, the Flames were playing at a much higher pace than the Leafs for most of the game. Granted the Leafs played the night before... but we won't want to use that excuse when we face off against the Bruins next Saturday. Nest week will be a very good test: Devils on Friday and Bruins Saturday.
