your right, orr is a highly skilled hockey player and brings a ton to the game when he is not fighting or able to lay a hit because he cant skate quick enough unless the D man is standing still along the boards waiting to take the hit.

i am not an ashton lover by any means. but hes surely more skilled than orr, he just has to not be such an idiot and take stupid penalties.

Ashton is quicker than Orr - that's it. he has no hands whatsoever and he's lacking in hockey sense. Orr brings intimidation to the table, and that's it.

Leivo much better suits a 3rd line role than Ashton, i couldnt agree more...and i also think its way too early to say where Leivo will end up...in my eyes hes probley our highest skilled forward prospect on the marlies right now.

problem for leivo in the near future is that we have
JVR
Kessel
Lupul
Clarkson

all set in a top 6 winger role. Kulemin and Raymond both have skill to play in that area as well...so Leivo will have his work cut out for him, but he surely has a great shot and i like his game along the boards...start him on the third line, and see where it goes from there.

I bet we see Leivo on the leafs next season - esp due to how much salary will be spread on our top 6 + bozak and our D(dion)...also reimer RFA.

It just bugged the poop out of me seeing Lupul have to play with Ashton last night, then his stupid penalty and getting speedbagged again. Was wishing it was Leivo instead.
