Be careful with the Q:

As I said "...even if it's the Q..."

Well aware of its pitfalls. Still, plenty of good players have come from there. He looked good during camp as well. Solid signing at a spot where there needs to be more added.

Guy was here for a cup of coffee. I don't think the fans are going to really care much. However if they want to boo have at it. You spent $100 for tickets
- dbell646

The guy hand picked the Pens at the detriment of his legacy with his former team. I know it's still open for debate, but most fans believe he was poorly used in his time hear and ultimately was not even given a token offer to return. I see no reason to boo a future HOF'r

Of course every fan base has it's share of morons and yes......it's a free country.

Buffalo blowing it up for real. Now EK has Christian Ehrhoff on the move.

I've always liked his game as he reminds me a lot of Paul Martin. Check out their numbers and averages. Carbon copy.

Iginla should have never picked the Penguins and the Penguins should have never agreed to it, but that certainly does not make Iginla worthy of boos this evening.

Fans can do as they please when they pay but I fail to understand what about the Iginla situation would cause you to boo at him.

Slick Shero...even if it is the Q...Dea has been a nice addition to the crop of prospects.

@H_P_Hockey: #Pens forward prospect Jean-Sebastien Dea (@jsdea10) has 14 points (12G-2A) in 15 games with @HuskiesRn of the #QMJHL so far this season.

If that kid can fill out, he could be a nice find. He can skate, and can obviously score goals.

From what I've seen he's a fairly decent passer too. Not afraid to go to the net. Doing simple things like that will get you opportunities.

They are going to have a hard time moving that term...

Although, his cap hit is pretty good, and with the signing bonus he got, the last few years are low actual dollars. A cap floor team might like that.

I think that the Penguins made that move to prevent the Bruins from acquiring him. Which is a dumb reason to make a trade.

His last 3 years he'll have a salary of $1M each year. His cap hit is only $4M. Very affordable contract.

I am currently participating in Extra-Life, which is a charity event tied to Children's Miracle Network, more specifically for me, Pittsburgh Children's Hospital. This is a cool group of guys, and I was hoping you guys could help me out. Any amount will help, and 100% of money donated goes directly to the charity. Thanks in advance.

Cap recapture penalties kill any and all value. They would exist for him I believe.

The verdict is still on that, and will be for the next handful of years. Joe Morrow could be a very good NHL player, or a bust, same with the pick and the prospects that Calgary got.
- rival22

True but at the time they could have gotten more for Morrow than what they gave up to get Iginla

Tough to compare the Morrow and Iginla trades. Iginla chose to come here. That kind of handcuffs the Flames as to what they are willing to accept in a trade for him when you're dealing with 1 team

Someone mentioned that if Ehrhoff retires before his contract ends, Buffalo would be the team penalized. Is that true?

Yes, Buffalo would be the team penalized. How much depends on when he retires.

Basically, Buffalo got the benefit of his cap hit being lower than his actual salary (due to signing bonus), so they get penalized for it.

There isn't much Buffalo can do right at the moment. Even if they move assets for future parts they get penalized.

Really nervous about penguins scoring depth. If Jeffrey steps up and plays the offensive game he showed a couple of years ago I'll be much more comfortable. Here's hoping Megna is taking the next steps too. He has soft hands and good speed. He could be a real sleeper. If those two fail....we're in trouble.

Iggy's tenure in Pittsburgh was just disappointing. I'm not sour on him, he is where he should have been all along. It wont shock me to see that Boston line rival Sids and Toews line as one of the best in the league.

Feel bad for Scuds, he had a legit chance to make the Olympic team. Get well soon piece!

I really liked what Megna brought last game. Consistency will be the key. He was our best player against Carolina outside of Sid being Sid.

Very interested to see what the Penguins do against the Boston team d. So far this season, I don't think the Pens have learned much, although injuries have played a big part in terms of depth.

I like that Megna is getting a shot on the 2nd line tonight, I say why not.

HOWEVER

Craig Adams is a 3rd line winger and Deryk Engelland is on the 4th line. D'Agostini has been scratched, unacceptable.

Have thought this since the trade was made. Made absolutely no sense at the time. We had the second best power play unit in the league. He wasn't a need. Once Morrow came, Iggy should never have been chased.

Just because we disagree with some of the decisions doesn't mean he has no clue.

I'll give him half a clue, he's still looking for the rest of it.

I understand Engo in there. Dude scores goals!

Was hoping Scuds would earn a bid. That's ok He'll be ready for what really matters in April, May.
