those 2 goals from moulson would of helped
- Mapleleafs_91

It wouldn't have mattered if Moulson was still on the Islanders. Defense is lousy and need another goaltender to give Nabby a break and some competition.

Whats going on with you Leaf fans all of a sudden? Why all the bashing of the Islanders lately? You do realize you guys are still the leafs right?

i thought it was against the rules for a team to re-sign someone they're still paying from a buyout
- rangerdanger94

cant sign said player back that year, but you can the next season.

There are losses and there are losses and with 24 hours to digest I see where a Ranger team which started the season after 2 disappointing playoff runs, a star goalie who is an impending UFA and a tough opening 9 game roadtrip started to show signs of gelling as a team last night playing a back to back game after being shut out in their home opener.

Now for our Isles it was a bit different story but I think it was a GOOD loss.

If Isle Ranger games prove one thing it's tougher bouncing back from a win!!!

Realistically I love our team but with 29 other teams in the league including many that other than Chicago that had a great playoff run but finished with no cup, as opposed to our team that won 2 games but played an exciting series against a scared PITT team that hadn't won many series since their cup year in 2009 and proceeded to drop 4 straight to BOS after beating us.

NHL is a tough league and few teams led by players 23 yrs and under are about to roll through the 82 game season the way this team played last spring down the stretch.

I'm not trying to be overly sarcastic but you need to walk before you run. There is a long season ahead and this team and coaching staff need to dig in, work hard and enjoy every positive step whether it's hanging onto a playoff spot, having a top goals against, improving PP or 5 on 5 play.

IT is NOT ACCEPTABLE that every time this team wins a game we have to hear comparisons to the 1980's teams!!! There are not even one or two teams in this league today that can be compared to the 1980's Isles or for that matter the 80's Oilers or 70's or 50's Candiens!!!

GET OVER IT FOLKS AND JUST LET THIS TEAM WORK HARD AND LET'S ENJOY THE SEASON.

I'm just looking forward to those Thanksgiving Holiday Games and let April and beyond take care of itself!
