He would have to agree to be waived... Guessing that's not going to happen.

Anyone else think the timing of his injury against the Sharks last season was highly suspect? Think about it. It was the day of the trade deadline. The same day we got Pominville which spelled the end of Heatley or not.

Yeo tapped danced a bit around the Heatley debacle this morning on KFAN saying that giving up on players like Heater is not an option. He seemed to allude to the point that he needs to find the right fit for Dany and that the team is better with a confident Heatley in the mix. More or less finding the right fit on the right line for him. Pretty telling if you ask me. Yeo is afraid of what the ramifications might be if he starts phasing Heatley out.... That was what I took from the interview even though he didn't come right out and say it.

That interview was frustrating to listen to on a number of fronts.

I can't stand Paul Allen to begin with so yes I'd have to agree with you...

Paul Allen is someone that works very hard to make sure people know why he is important and he has such awesome friendships with important people and how much fun that is. What he has no interest in though is credibility with listeners or in his coverage of MN sports especially with the Vikings who by the way pay him so its never anything near honest or anything touching on reality. Allen wants nothing to do with information seeking with regards to hockey, he is just being best-friends-forever with Wild players and management. For Allen people continue to listen so he doesnt have any reason or need to be accountable so why not insulate himself and his relationships. The reason why many people have turned of KFAN for 1500ESPN and in a round about way why Jeff Dubay received another chance on the radio. PA and Dubay was very good in the beginning because Dubay would call him on his Ish. Dubay and Judd is very good IMO. PA has nothing but YES men with him for 9 to Noon so the show is BRUTAL

I couldn't have said it better. Loved the show when it was PA and Dubay. Hockey was a huge part of the show back then. PA has done nothing but become a bombastic gas bag since Dubay left. And your soooo right, most self important guy in town! He constantly name drops, brags about all his high level relationships with elite sports figures and is one of the biggest homers in the twin citites when it comes to Minnesota sports in general, especially the Vikings. Got soooooo sick of year round Vikings/NFL talk.

I only surf the KFAN station during 9 to Noon to see if he's actually talking about hockey(which is pretty rare) unless he's doing his show from the X on game days. He knows little to nothing about hockey, but usually Maleski is on with him so it's worth listening to. Love when Barreiro has Louie on Tuesdays. But honestly, I hold such disdain for PA, the mere sound of his voice irritates me.

He needs to eat a huge plate of shut the (frank) up just before he has Russo on. I've just about given up listening to him talk to anyone about hockey since PA tries to do all of the talking.

What nearly made me drive off the road in a fit of rage was when Yeo said he liked the lines because they have complementary players together. Yeah, like Brodziak on Koivu's wing. I could be wrong.

The one glimmer of hope that line may have is that Brodziak could be good on the wall and they may have enough possession time between Koivu and Brodziak to setup Niederreiter. We'll have to see how it plays out.

He needs to work harder because I'm totally not getting it.

Good tidbit from Russo in last night's blog about this:
He’s not dumb. He’s on the fourth line. He knows next stop is the press box or worse. Theoretically, if it ever got to the point where the Wild felt like it exhausted every avenue to get him playing, it could place him on waivers and send him to Iowa. Contrary to some belief out there, Heatley does not have a no-move clause. He has a limited, 10-team no-trade clause.
- Russo's Blog

So there it is. They could waive him without his consent.
