Steen has the same goals, assists and points as AO in 9 games vs 12

Steen is a plus 7 where AO is a -6

same number of GMG

so why does AO get the press?

No!
Devan Dubnyk is.

Wonder if Oiler fans still think they don't need a goalie?
Naw........why when they have Dubnyk?

Not even close. Ovi would be about 7 on my list so far with Crosby Stamkos Steen Duchene Sedin and Kessler all in front of him.
Czar Vlad still upset ovi not returning to play in Mother Russia only gave him enough of the Russian sports medicines new improved performance enhancing super drink to run with torch from Greece to Siberia. He has run out of his supply last week and will only get new supply at the Olympics so he can skate hit shoot and score like star in the Motherland.

Funny no one mentions Crosby. 20pts in 12 games... no need to say anything more. He is the clear MVP of the league again.

Can't bielieve I am actually going to defend ek here but I am sure the question was "is he the mvp as of right now" not by the end of the year which everyone and there grand mother knows should be crosby or stamkos hell even kessel if he keeps up this pace..steen aswell so many choices when you look at it over 82 games

Alexander Steen.

MVP so far, hope he keeps it up.

He is playing on a whole new level, it is not just the goal scoring, which has been great.

dubnyk has actually played well in his last 3 starts. very solid. stole 2 points against ottawa too.
he seems to have righted the ship. but you knew that of course....

and miller doesnt wanna go to edm. and ur suggesting trading valuable signed assets or firsts for a guy that would probably walk anyway?

a signed goalie to compete or take over dubs spot? fine
a cheap goalie that could give dubs some competition? fine.

it's called asset management.

still dont think datsyuk or kopitar are elite cause 'they dont have the skill to take over games by themselves"???

easy on the hate and laughing off some of your fellow posters opinions. glass houses and all that...

Varlomov

Without him ( and to a lesser degree Gigueire) the Avs would be much further down the standings.
