Dreger is an ass-hat. Enough said. - Marwood
Agreed. Only worth listening to since he does have some legit sources, but the fact that he's related to Nonis skews things for me whenever he mentions anything about Toronto, one of their rivals or the team that fired Nonis(Vancouver) |

Are you comparing Daniel to Moulson?
Watch the two. Daniel has a much more rounded skillset.
Moulson's got a decent shot, and ok speed. He's a better version of Booth.
Not worth Kassian, like someone suggested, and not worth a 1st.
I'd be alright if the could get him for scraps. - Fosco
I don't think it's a stretch to say that he'd go from being a 30 goal scorer with Tavares to a 20 goal scorer without him. I agree though, trading Kassian or a 1st for a 20 goal scorer on the last year of his deal is a horrible move. |

He's actually scored at every level he's played, there's obviously some merit to the Tavares comments, but the guy can score goals. The reference was that Tavares was "on the ice" for "X" amount of his goals. How many goals has Hank been on for Daniels goals? Is he nothing without Henrik...you get what I mean with that reference. - LeftCoaster
In the admittedly few times I've watched Moulson, I've seen nothing that would make me want to give up valuable assets for him.
Is he a decent hockey player? Yes.
Would I be ok with him for nothing? Sure.
But no way I'm targeting him in a trade with major assets going the other way. |

Agreed...I just disagree with the sentiments that he's nothing without Tavares. As a general statement. That's simple not true if you take his hisory into account. |

Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks Game Review: 4 Straight, Grading the Forwards
The Vancouver Canucks opened a homestand with their fourth-straight win as they defeated the Washington Capitals 3-2 on Monday night. I also grade the forwards' performance so far this season. - Carol Schram
i don't really need to get a game review each day. i watch the games, monitor twitter, read tsn. without trying to sound rude it's a waste of time.
the ratings are pretty accurate. not sure how booth got a D though. he played way more games than anyone thought before he got injured.
other than santarelli is coming to town no forward should get an A with the crappy PP we have. that has to get fixed or this team goes nowhere once again.

Darren Dreger said He expects the Sabers to flip Moulson at the deadline. I would LOVE that guy in a Canucks Sweater. - vancity787
I was saying this yesterday He's be a perfect fit with the Sedins, then Kesler can drop back to the second line with Burrows and Higgins and suddenly the whole top six looks very solid.
The sedins are the perfect compliment to cover up Moulson's short comings (lack of footspeed, stick handling, skating). He just has to go to the net and he's very good with deflections and rebounds. If he had wheels, Moulson would be a 50 goal man.

if it was a second round pick and/or a middle of the road prospect I could see Gillis doing it, but I agree, he's just too one dimensional to pay too much for him. That's why Snow had to give up the picks along with him for Vanek

no, kesler is productive because he has a center who can pass him the puck right now. he needs a playmaker on his line like say cody...oops, can't do that anymore.
moulson would be killer with the sedins but that doesn't solve the problem of kesler. i'd rather try making daniel a center on the 2nd line if they're going to split up the sedins. finding a center is tough. if he can stay healthy, getting hemsky to play with kes would be interesting even though he's a winger.
not to worry. i'm sure we're in good hands with gillis. when's the last time he's made a bad move? he's gone, what, at least a month with no bonehead decisions?

Yeah, IMO that's what he's worth.
Similar to what MG gave up for Roy.
I'd rather see him save thise assets to go "all in" on a more dynamic top 6er, or stand pat and wait till next season when they will hopefully have one or two of the prospects in the top 9.
Maybe even shed a contract or two for picks, if they're not going "all in". |

I never said he's "nothing", but he's certainly not the same.
Like Nucker said, maybe a 20 goal guy with similarly skilled linemates.
I'm just not a huge fan. If he had a two-way game or a physical element to go along with his decent hands, I'd like him more. |

To be brutally honest, I thought he sucked outside of blocking shots and eventually getting injured. - Nucker101
He was the best on our team in FOs. That might not appear to be a big deal until you start really paying attention to have a game can change over a few lost FOs. |

Meh, I'd rather have a better player than a faceoff specialist. A guy like Richardson is a much better 4th line player IMO. |

I don't kno why people want to break up Sedins Kesler. It is winning games , is that not enough?
The idea now is to make a second line with existing players or trade for players. |

He was good on the PK, on the forecheck, as a defensive forward which allowed Kesler to have more of an offensive role. Add in the leadership and he was a terrific signing. He even scored a dozen goals or so. Losing him cost us the Cup. |

Kreider might end up being a great pickup for me. Throws a lot of hits and AV is playing him a lot. Just scored. |

A dozen goals? Are we talking about Ryan Johnson here? His stick is where any offensive momentum went to die. A lot of people wanted an upgrade on him at the time since he was fairly ineffective outside of blocking shots and faceoffs and was constantly injured. |
