Lol - it does suck man, I hear you, just need to better overall.

Also, Gagner to Yak tonight. Book it for one G.

- Salvo

Those two with hall on the left wing were dynamite last year. I really hope gangers grit will pump our pp tonight. I truly believe ganger plays the style of game that REALLY compliments yakupov. Here's to hoping I'm right.

Also, hugefemale dog77, I love the Larsen pump. I'm curious to see what he's got. There's nothing more important than skating speed in this league. Hopefully his positional play and offensive timing improves.

3) "Move Your Feet. I noticed it a few games ago but the Oiler defense is particularly bad at moving up with the puck out of their own zone. They make what I think is too many pass attempts from deep in their own zone while not having any forward momentum at all. Let me know if you see it too. It seems as though the forwards are consistently too far ahead because the defense is immobile"

They get hemmed in so often and are trying anything to get it out.
None of them are really strong enough skaters to start the rush on their own either (jultz i guess)

Considering what we're hearing about larsen in the A, im surprised nultz hasnt gotten a night off in favour of someone who might be able to inject something into the breakout. I suppose hampering our defence furthur might not be the best course of action tho. ( i really dont think larsen would be much worse. But maybe mngmt doesnt agree

If baffles me, that management wants to add another bottom pairing gritty defensive defenseman.

yep. agreed on larsen

you see what Duchene is doing to defenders right now with that skating? they have no hope.

the same can be said about hall. we know how many bad decisions he makes and how often he tries to do much. he doesn't even have a snipers shot in the truest sense. but that elite skating and power game makes him a lethal scorer. top ten in the league last year to be exact.

They are too soft, they want to be harder to play against. I would much rather just say (frank) it and go after Big Daddy Buff (AKA Byfuglien) Tough as (frank) and can move the puck. But I'm scarred of the price tag

Yeah just listened to some of this. I tuned out when he started yapping on about +/-.
- TheTaoOfSemenko

I know, he had trouble admitting that it's normal for the best young forwards on a team to have bad +/-. Besides, I like the extra ice time for Nuge et cetera.

Dreger said some pretty brutal stuff about "easiest team" after that. Not sure I agree b/c that's tough to measure but it sucks that he's close.

Having said that, I like that they finally showed physical character against L.A. I think this is slowly starting to change. But poop!!! Joensuu AND Pitlick now injured. Gotta get healthy.

I think I heard Reid Wilkins say Joensuu is getting there? I don't know and Pitlick seems unannounced as well.

Pitlick left on crutches.

Sucks. They're the kind of forwards the Oilers are lacking. Both were looking good too.

I know. Man, I'm listening to more podcasts out of Toronto from Ferraro and other guys...saying if only Sam Gagner could play defense (though Ferraro did say he thinks Gagner will start slow but is on the cusp of being a regular 60 point centermen).

I guess we all knew depth at the 6/7 was an improvement and all but not anything world beating.

He's finally figured out that that physical element to his game is what is going to pave his way to the NHL. (frank)er even scored a goal that night too.

Teams can outshoot us all they want. They never seem to count the scoring chance numbers though

Will be an awesome game tonight. Your rink is the best lol

I honestly think they have zero bearing on any outcome. Especially when you take a great team with a terrible goalie.

There's a mountain of evidence that suggests you are wrong in general about Corsi events. Individually though there is no accounting for a hot goalie.
