Pierre Lebrun on insider trading "No numbers have been exchanged between Nonis and phaneufs camp"
- jbold

I was listening to Dougy Mac last night, and he said "talks have started but NO salary or term has been discussed".

I was like WTF, that was the quickest meeting ever.

Nonis: "Dion, do you wanna sign an extension?"

Dion: "Yeah"

Nonis: "OK well let's wrap this up, we'll have to organise another meeting soon. We'll be in touch"

Dion: "Wait, what?"

Ah, yes...combo number 3....this is special, this not last long.

And good morning folks.

- Colin Dambrauskas

Aside from their impressive offensive performance, Kadri played excellent defensively. Back checked very well.

And morning yall

He was going a PPG to start the year...c'mon....
- AdamFrench

I don't even remember him playing this year.. Not that he's ever a stand out. The only thing i can remember about Kuli was his hit on Kaleta.

So what do we think happens with the Oilers next? Coach fired? Player traded? GM? Lowe? 5 more losses and heads are going to roll....wonder who will be out the door, should be interesting to see this BOLD move pulled off by all talk Mactavish.

lets just hope kadri and the first line can continue this domination while bozak heals up. best case scenario bozak goes to third line with kulemin and raymond and bolland bumps up to line 2 with clarkson and lupul

yeah i know, brilliant.

what a win last night, just pounded on the oil drums.

Made a nice play clearing a loose puck from the slot.. Also that pass to Kessel Bozak woudln't be making. I feel like Kadri's passing and creativity will keep him on the top line.

Kadri is by far a superior player. Bozak is just REALLY good on faceoffs, that's the only thing he really has over Kadri...and he's a bit better defensively, although Kadri's improving all the time in that category.

I would say Kadri is better defensively, and has better FO % than Bozak (early I know)

He's getting there. Hard to tell, has some good games, and some not so good games. It's hockey anything can happen. But what i can say is that Kadri payed is dues with Carlyle getting benched at times. Bozak always seems to get a free ride.

Oh my gawd, it's been 4 years, he wouldn't be the same player had he stayed in toronto
- Fakepartofme

Well actually, I was more worried that it was the coach not using him right then the player even when we moved him. I'm not sure I put all the blame on Wilson, but some dubious decisions were made with what we had here in our cupboards the second Wilson, and eventually Burke came in. Fortunately, they did a lot of good things too....ie. Phaneuf, Lupul, Gardiner....and wow, can't believe I'm saying this....the Kessel trade.

You know who's development Kadri's looks like at the moment? When Carlyle had a young Getzlaf.

It's nice to have depth at almost every position. We have no superstar centre's but we have good hard working centre's. Our skill is on the wings and in net. If we could ever land that top 2 veteran defenseman, who shoot's right, then we can go on a run this year, provided that we're healthy come playoff time.

Kadri was great last night. Great defensively. It's nice to see a centre that can keep up with Phil and jvr and make slick offensive plays and still play defense.
