People were way too hasty. I've been with you on this issue so far this year. I do like certain things about Bernier (rebound control, puck handling, etc) but Reimer gets the job done regardless. This looks like a legit 1A and 1B situation.

Agreed. Feed off the competition.

Bernier = 3.40, .899 in his last 5 games.

Before we call Reimer a backup, maybe Bernier can do something he's never done in his career and prove he can be a starter.

Likewise with reimer. Only an idiot thinks a goalie can be perfect all the time.

If you were look historically at past successful scoring lines they generally consists of two dominant forwards and not three. The problem with leaving Kadri on the first lines it somewhat handcuffs Lupul. At this point the Leafs are better in spreading the offense leaving the first line production to Kessel and JVR and second line producting to Lupul and Kadri. Bozak and Clarkson offer the intangibles needed to make those lines work and I say this not being a huge Bozak fan. It's just what we currently have to work with. Also this leaves us with a very strong third line in Kulemin, Bolland and Raymond. The fourth line then consists of McClement who is our specialists and throw on Orr/McLaren with one of the kids like Ashton or Leivo. I like it.

Bolland and Raymond have 10 and 9 points respectively. We have 2 heavily scoring lines now, and a third shutdown line that chips in offense, and a couple of fighters and energy players on the 4th.

He played well against them, but so what? He's still all over the place. He has no calmness about him.
- Fakepartofme

He's 3-0-0 (got pulled in that one stinker but on his way to another dominating win) with a 2.56 and .933, both of which are about to get better when this game is done...

I'll take no calmness about him with the W's piling up

It's like the Reimer/Scrivens battle for the net, cranked up 200%.

I can't believe another team has fallen for patented Leafs rope-a-dope. The Oilers have exhausted themselves by outshooting the Leafs and have nothing left in the tank.

And Gardiner can play defense.

I love when you trot out these lines now, when you were insulting Reimer earlier in the year.

"Every goalie makes mistakes, guys!"

That's not what you were saying 3 weeks ago.

Basically the difference in shots is all from sitting back in third period. Like 17-4 EDM.
