He used to look be so happy.

My favorite interview of all time was when he got traded to Toronto.
"It's um....yeah, it's really great to...oh...to be traded to um...to...Toronto."

Has Davies posted here yet? I'm looking for her anti-Perry post (he of the uncalled elbow to the head of Giroux a few years back and never retaliated for).

someone already mentioned it for me the other day, maybe it was marc?

Trust me, we don't want Dion. Good player, decent defensively. Just NOT EVEN CLOSE to worth what he's reportedly asking for. It would be classic Holmgrenian Cap suicide.

And say what you will, but Buff is a better player right now. Just offers more overall essentially, and is bigger and much more physical. For anyone who lives in the Toronto area as I do, where have Dion's hits gone? They're literally nowhere to be found in his game now. So no thank you, Dion.

- Flyers_V88

After the surge in following advanced stats, he realizes hits make you look bad for not possessing the puck.

Noooo. I live in Margate and I can, without a doubt, tell you that I know more about sports than any current person living in Margate.

No one would understand the joke.

Well, silly as it sounds, we're talking about taking $10.5M off the cap in Timonen and Meszaros this offseason. So Phaneuf at $7.5M isn't THAT crazy, really. I'm not saying I'm advocating, but they could do much worse *coughBigBuffcough*
- jmatchett383

G's extra 5 mill hits though...so it depends on the Cap for next year, and still have to deal with B schenn, Gus, Mason, Raffl, Goalie number 2 or Emery...could work, but need the Cap to go up about 7 Mil...

Big Buff is slow as can be. He hits more and scores more, but his positioning is terrible and his foot speed rivals Hal Gill. Not to mention he commits some atrocious turnovers.

That's actually an excellent point. Thank you. Still, you'd think that SOMETHING would remain from his gain? He doesn't throw hits anymore at all almost...

Not to nitpick, but Buff is a really good skater for his size...

I'd generally tend to agree. The good thing is, with the right coaching staff and dedication, all of his short-comings correctable with learning and effort. Thanfully we'd be getting something with inherent talents and is just in-need of channelling them.

Shaddap, you! The first year of HUT on NHL (10?) that my wife played, she had a bunch of Silvertips on her roster. With the lockout last year, we followed three CHL teams: Everett (WHL), Peterborough Petes (OHL), & Saint John Sea Dogs (QMJHL).

My 4-month old has really enjoyed this season so far. Loves the bowling words Daddy's been using.

My 11 year-old figures it's a slow start. His own team went 4-16 last year. He's more forgiving/longsuffering. That figures to change as this year's team is 4-0.
