This is why I love hockeybuzz. There are more douchebags in here then on twitter. Instead of being anoiich I know you understood. But since you'd rather make things difficult, I'll spell it out for you. Homer should not be allowed to make a panic move for a guy like Buff. Because he will likely overpay trying to save his job. The only moves Homer should be allowed to make right now should be ones that rid the team of long-term expensive contracts for picks and younger inexpensive players. Teams will buy a guy like Hartnell or Coburn or Timonen at the deadline. It's a good way to gain control of their cap again and restart with some strong busing blocks in place already.

Thats all fine and dandy but all three of those guys would have to waive their NTC's not exactly a given they would do that. Timmo is gone after this season anyway, as for ginger would love for the Flyers to be able to rid themselves of that contract.

Let this sink in fellas, Homer traded away Carter, Richards, JVR for this team....makes me sick. Those are three quality pieces you traded away for young unproven players for all we know will be no better than they are today. Just brutal management how Homer is still GM is beyond me. And for the record hated all three moves from get the get go.This team is 3-8, after a season when they were AWFUL all season. They wont magically turn it around, not one player will turn this around. Aside from Giroux, have a fire-sale and start from scratch with a top flight D-man being first priority.

I didn't want to say it, but this is just the simple truth.

I lurked today, saw the jokes about how Jay Rosehill's limited minutes can't cost you a game.

Sure they can. Because you're playing 10.5 forwards vs. their 12, and even when they start to double-shift Getzlaf and Perry, they could still run through their lines and play their fourth line in unprotected situations, so they could catch a breather...then go right back to double-shifting.

Jay Rosehill doesn't have to be in the box to get you beat. He just has to be dressed.

This just isn't the case. Flyers forwards played basically the same amount of minutes the normally play. The Flyers turned the puck over a ton, and couldn't get past the neutral zone when Anaheim clogged it up in the 3rd period. That's why they got beat. Not because Rosehill is in the lineup. That's just crazy.

Its not the point though. When you are playing a guy like Raffl on a first line, and have to essentially bench your whole fourth line for the game that's horrific.

Its unfair to Raffl, and his linemates. Every player matters on the team.

Berube has helped mask the glaring weakness on this team with the D, by having them tone down the attack. Basically, I think they are what they are. So be it Paul.

Rafll had a solid game tonight. The 4th line played as much as a 4th line should. And I have no idea why you believe that Berube is having them tone down the attack. Did you watch the first period?
