Flyers lost to a better team. 2 of 3 since the break with 4 straight against Eastern conference opponents. Win 3 of 4 and keep moving forward.

The team lost focus in the 2nd and let the better team lose.

G - remove your head from your arse and shoot the puck!

G absolutely needs to start shooting the puck for God's sake.

Someone will be moved. They cant just sit around and wait for Morin and Hagg.

Kimmo. I love him. But he's playing like he should be our 7th D man.

+1. If Gus rights the ship then Timmo needs to be the healthy scratch.

he must have passed up at least 3 or 4 good shots tonight, trying to set up someone else.

no excuse ... unless he's just lost all confidence in his shot.

I'm okay with the loss.

This team has proved to me that they have the talent to compete with the echleon of the NHL, but they have to maintain that effort. This team is young with an aging d-core, so it's kind of a mixed bag.

All they have to do is move forward.

Yikes. They just disappeared in the 3rd. Pretty sad. Bad passes and too many turnovers. Could have been a lot worse without Mason playing well once again.

If he passes the puck in practice his line needs to be punished. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

It's gonna be a lot of work to try to acquire two top pairing Dman.. Also, why does Schenn 22 looks so slow? He looked better last season I thought.
- Hextall271

He was a rock on that D last season, I don't know what happened. He wasn't the most fleet of foot, but even most of the snarl seems to be gone. I just want them to (frank)ing show emotion. Get a little chippy!

They are playing like scared robots out there.

Slow as (frank), unreal how it seems only 2-3 guys can consistently handle the puck at a NHL level.
- flyer_nutter

My two MIA's of the game...

BSchenn. Non-factor. Not just tonight, but on the majority of nights. My belief that he does not have a bright future becomes more and more evident to me. I can't find one aspect of his game that he does well.

Timmo. But at least he has an excuse. He's fried.

Hard to be successful on the PP when everyone is standing around watching.

I question that talent more than anything. The forwards are a joke for the most part at handling the puck, or playing with creativity.

Really (frank)ing wish Brayden Schenn and Coots would initiate a bit more, or show more glimpses.

I didn't nearly take away as many positives from this game. A banged up team in the middle of their road trip, on the ropes after one. To lose in the 3rd period where the Flyers should have the better legs? The problems with the Flyers are ones that can not be fixed outside of major major roster changes. There is no other way around it. I think the best that could happen is that Mason continues to be excellent this year, Flyers get a top 3 pick, Homer is fired and Hextall is allowed to rebuild this team his way.

Cool, retire. I didn't like the $6 signing, but didn't have a credible alternative. He seems like he's pacing himself which for a team fighting for a borderline spot at best to get into the post season doesn't cut it.

I know many are high on them here, but Coots and Brayden Schenn have shown very (frank)ing little in terms of a bright future in terms of offensive production.

Couturier has that defensive game though, which can make him a good 3rd line center, but he better be paid accordingly and not some some dumbass "potential".

Just my thoughts. I question the very core of this team, youth or no youth.

Perhaps if they dressed a 4th line that could (frank)ing play the sport of (frank)ing hockey, they wouldn't look so gassed.

This.

I'm not disheartened, really -- the Ducks simply did what good teams do: Take away your best players and make your lesser players, your weaker players, make plays.

Bruce Boudreau's a good coach, and they have the kind of players, a lot of high picks, who can execute a game plan like that.

We just lost to a better team tonight. I'm encouraged, at least, that the Ducks didn't expose anything that I hadn't already seen and didn't know existed.

- AllInForFlyers

that was a severely depleted Ducks team that owned us the last 2 periods. we lost so many battles...

schenn went from being the best player not in the nhl to the worst player in the nhl faster than it should be possible to do so. this game was lost in the 2nd period. i hope they see how far they really are losing a 2-0 lead on home ice to a team missing 4 top players. if you think this loss was a good sign you're sniffing glue

What did they change from last years PP? Did G charge in with 4 players in a straight line last year? I always thought staggering players by layer was a positive to create more opportunities?
