the Ducks were toying with the Flyers over the past 2 periods. That could have been 6 - 2 if not for Mason.

very very very disappointing loss, especially considering the 1st 20 minutes.

Before we all forget the first period we owned! How many times last season did they come out flat? Not all bad in this game. We just couldn't maintain it, and that has to change.

You're right. Sorry Bill, it's clear as day. He's gone.

It's gonna be a lot of work to try to acquire two top pairing Dman.. Also, why does Schenn 22 looks so slow? He looked better last season I thought.

To quote a phrase of Jsaq.

Lava may have been trying to race a tractor against a corvette.

I think its clear that this team is more of a mule than a tractor.

Slow as (frank), unreal how it seems only 2-3 guys can consistently handle the puck at a NHL level.

- flyer_nutter

some guys looking slower than others. Grossman, Timo, Coots for example.

You have never owned a mule. They can MOVE when they choose to.

On the flip side, it could have easily been much more than 2-0 after the first period and a half. the flyers got cute and sloppy. stopped getting the puck in deep.

Someone will be moved. They cant just sit around and wait for Morin and Hagg.

Kimmo. I love him. But he's playing like he should be our 7th D man.

It was a measuring stick game, and the Ducks are a better team. They have that extra gear. The Flyers don't, at least not yet.

Schenn was getting 20 mins a game last year. I really believe he thrived on those minutes

No sense in beating a dead horse. This is what the team is. It's not a well constructed team. That's a game the Flyers of old win 7-1. Anaheim was dead in the water. Not only is this team fragile and soft as pudding, but not a one of them has any killer instinct.

Outshot 24-13 in the final two periods. It did seem as though they were being toyed with.. The biggest issue to me is our sad D corps can't contend with the forwards at all.. If they had never acquired Streit they would be in even worse shape. That's a sad state of affairs.

You could see them slowly become dumber and dumber with the puck. By the end of the 3rd period, Simmonds was spinning in circles behind his own net. Doesn't get any worse than that.

As soon as Vinny coughed up the puck and they tied it the game was over. They are a terrible 3rd period team.

Flyers lost to a better team. 2 of 3 since the break with 4 straight against Eastern conference opponents. Win 3 of 4 and keep moving forward.

The team lost focus in the 2nd and let the better team lose.

G - remove your head from your arse and shoot the puck!

This.

I'm not disheartened, really -- the Ducks simply did what good teams do: Take away your best players and make your lesser players, your weaker players, make plays.

Bruce Boudreau's a good coach, and they have the kind of players, a lot of high picks, who can execute a game plan like that.

We just lost to a better team tonight. I'm encouraged, at least, that the Ducks didn't expose anything that I hadn't already seen and didn't know existed.

This is as good a theory as I have heard. It may be true.. he doesn't look to have any first step.. Between him and timonen it looks like 2 turtles out there.
