Mezzy how did you miss that?!

This team keeps getting better guys. This was a fantastic period, minus that sequenec there for a few minutes around the 5 minute mark and Simmer's boneheaded penalty.

Solid kill, solid PP, great 5-5 play, strong breakouts and puck support, great energy, dangerous puck movement in the O zone....

This team looks like a playoff team.

Sweet first period. Great passes from Simmonds and G. Excellent team speed, puck pursuit and forechecking.

Just watched the past half minute. I see the score but how have they looked?
- Just5

Like...a playoff team.

Ducks are good...they're big. So when they get in on the forecheck if we don't move the puck well, it looks a little rough.

But offensively, the Flyers have forechecked well, done some good things with cycling and puck control and getting good shots away.

The Flyers, if they play to their strengths, are able to do some good things.

if they play like that consistently they'll be fine. if they can play like that for 60min a game the will be a hard team to play against and the slow start will be quickly forgotten

They are rePlaceable because we have depth. And I said they are decent players. Hartnell has value to a team. So does kimmo. Were not talking about nodl here. My point is I'd like to move them for good prospects or picks due go our depth. If we aren't in playoff contention at deadline most fans will say some of them will be moved at deadline and we will have to wait until to see who is right reguarfing their trade value
- SMS4016

If the Flyers are out of the playoffs, obviously you sell...get whatever you can for them, no question.

But if you're still in the hunt, you don't get up and walk out of the race by jettisoning key players.

Timonen might get you a decent prospect/2nd rounder, unless his play picks up. Hartnell will be difficult because he has 3 years on his deal after this one.

They've been trying to trade Meszaros since the summer. Nobody's taking him. I'm also fine with trading Grossmann or Coburn or anyone, in the right deal. But if they're in a playoff spot, it's foolish to sell pieces off.

You never know what can happen in the playoffs.

Mez has been very active on the offensive side of the puck. Should've had one, at least.

They're moving their legs very well so far. One period down. Let's see if they can replicate it.

Flyers have looked real impressive under Berube system when cycling the puck with the D waiting for something to open up in the neutral zone.

Random ideal but I wouldnt mind the Flyers resting Kimmo next back to back game. I doubt it happens but I want to see how the D would do with both Gus and Mez

Even on the defensive side, I saw Mez playing guys well in front of the net by taking the stick AND the body.

the ducks dont look too bad on offense themselves, but you guys still have them at 0. counts for something. and offensively, the flyers have a spring and drive that i havent seem yet this year.

That might have been the best period they've played since the Pittsburgh Series finale.

haha well partly perry and getzlaf are always a joy to watch. id prefer you guys stopped clutching and scrumming with them and let them play!

but still, offensively you guys looked great. major defensive lapse by the ducks on that PP but it was still a thing of beauty to see executed.

I'd like to see them continue to get under Perry's and Getzlaf's skin.

Weak call on Getzlaf but a nice result.
