About the same # of games for every other team besides the Flyers and Penguins. So guess I can only comment on 2 teams.

way to take my post to the extreme

all i was saying was that personally I am not confident enough to make a bunch of definitive statements about players I only watch play full games a few times a year, if that.

Byfuglien at his best, can't compare to top defenseman in this League such as Subban, Karlsson, Keith, Weber, etc. He's not even as good as Doughty, Pietrangelo, Suter, or OEL. He's good offensively, but doesn't bring enough in other areas.
I agree about his inconsistency. I just disagree on what his top level is.

- MJL

Really? I'd say that Buff at the top of his game is actually better than all of the guys mentioned. However, there is an asterisk there....

The only thing I can say for sure is that he does NOT have the innate defensive talents and anticipation as the guys above mentioned have. Otherwise, on his prime nights or when he is "on his game" he's more physical and stronger, he shoots harder than all of them except Chara or Weber (right along par with them) and can make a mess of the offensive zone with his size if he chooses to rush.

All he really needs is some excellent coaching and a style that fits his game. Otherwise, I'd say his potential ceiling with respect to his natural abilities is actually way higher than any of those D. Just my opinion though.

MacLean's latest onanistic pursuit...

SPORTSNET: Doug MacLean suggested the Philadelphia Flyers would be a good fit for Ryan Miller, but Miller would have to agree to sign long-term with the Flyers to make the trade work. Nick Kypreos reports Miller, who has a limited no-trade clause, won’t accept a trade to a Canadian team. “Ray Emery, say, could be sent to Buffalo in a package centred on draft picks and become the backup to Jhonas Enroth.”

- isaiah520

Only way that I'm ok with this is if getting Miller is step 1 in trading Mason + to Edmonton for Yakupov.

I'm just gonna have to disagree. If I can have Buff at his best or Shea Weber at his best, I'm taking Weber every day. When Weber gets fired up, he is the most terrifying defenseman in the league, both physically and skill-wise. It's actually a pretty awe-inspiring sight,.

if it matters any... I was playing NHL 14 the other day... Dustin BFusgfhlhwin got hurt. He is out for a while. Pronger scored a goal as well.

Also, I currently own the WHL record for goals in a season by a defenseman.

Hall + Eberle for Coburn and Rosehill...and a 2nd. As a favor to Edmonton.

He's a step behind Coburn-fast:

- Tomahawk

And yet people in this thread compared him to Hall Gill.

in all seriousness, i think the reports having the Flyers still pursuing a goalie or bringing up the FLyers goalie issues are just from lazy ass reporters who have not watch a single game this year.

the amount of discussion and negativity this will generate should be awesome...clearly as was said previously Rosehill is the main reason they will win/lose/tie tonight

Rosehill and Mez in the lineup. The team will look like they're skating in quicksand.

Agreed. Anyone that has paid attention knows that Mason has been the Flyers best player so far. By a wide margin too.
