Yeah, i jus wanted to make it clear that i already know why Pirri is doubted, and i do understand the concern....but i guess im just more excited about the positives he brings to the table than u are....and im glad i am.

Hey the Hawks played their best game tonight. Q thought outside the box and the moves/adjustments he made worked. In the long run the shortcomings of Pirri will hurt the Hawks...

The team is definitely better with Kruger 4C, gives you depth advantage. Mills has requisite skill sets to compliment that line nice. Either Nordstrom, Smith or Bollig on other side and I am good with that.

He didn't have a layup. He beat craw cleanly five hole from 30 feet if I recall correctly. If you want to blame someone, and I don't, it's craw.

You don't recall correctly. It was more like 15 feet and top shelf right over his shoulder.

True. I'd like to see Pirri play with Shaw and Bicks. With the same easy deployment that line got last year, it could be one of the best 3rd lines in the league

To be fair you could say the same thing about any player US. Especially Leddy and his short comings have already hurt the Hawks. As far as Pirri is concerned. he HAS won board battles and more than his share. As far as the Wild goal is concerned, maybe he could have kept skating. I have seen Toews stop skating few times too. That goal is all on Keith. Even if Pirri has his man, its still a 3 on 2, which it was to begin with.

Shaw, Bicks, and Morin look fine. Let that line roll a few games. They are generating chances. They are crashing the net and no one has to tell Morin to shoot. His shot will create rebound chances. My opinion anyway.

Crow had a big game tonight. Truthfully he was hung out to dry Saturday. I like his attitude though. He felt he should have been better. I find it hard to not root for him.

Fair point about Leddy, however he is on the third pairing but nevertheless his development has been up and down/not consistent. As far as the board battles he has lost more than he has won and I'm not just saying that because I'm trying to be negative. If he was doing these things he would be getting more than 10 minutes of 5 on 5 ice time a night. He was only 33% at the dot and I've stated in the past if he stays above 50% there could be a place for him. Tomorrow night will be interesting....Ottawa is a better team than Minnesota with a lot more offensive fire power....Hawks need to play solid defense......and you need guys who play a two way game....let's see how it plays out.

Morin has looked solid....doing what he suppose to do. I like the way that line is structured....could use a bit more speed but I will take it.

There was no thinking outside the box, Q and his coaches made adjustments to counter what Minny threw at them on Saturday night. And they burned that relatively weak defensive group, especially the kid Dumba and the usually below average, overpaid goaltender Backstrom who happened to be very good in Chicago that night.

Barring a major collapse in performance, Pirri is going to stay and play quite alot of games for this team and make plenty of 'without the puck' mistakes while learning. While he is doing that, he"ll get his share of points to offset some of those flaws. And do you really think he's so far below the ability levels of players like Sam Gagner, Mike Santorelli or Tyler Bozak or Cody Hodgson? Hell, Claude Giroux doesn't even have a goal yet.

A team could do alot worse than Pirri for a $750K/year salary.

I'll take a guy who knows where the goal scoring areas are and get his ass there. That is what I like about Morin. There have been a whole boatload of guys whose skating was questioned and had long successful careers. and not the SS Minnow either.

I have never seen a player get singled out for more hatred than Keith. Him and Bolland the last few years are players I guess you really like or hate. In every game Every player screws up, but it is often overlooked. Keith is still one of the best d-Men in the game. Does he make mistakes? Yes. Does he suck at getting his shot through? Yes. But he is still an elite player that can have a positive impact

Hoping Pirri can continue to improve with more playing time
The Brookbank goal he made a really smart play to move the defenseman and screen the goalie
Hope his skating can continue to improve playing better competition

I finally figured it out, Unamed has had a thing against Pirri since he took his position as Q's errand boy. It is all starting to make sense now.
