Wonder why it was at the Colisseum.
- StLBravesFan

And, after further review, it was because the Stadium hadn't been built yet: Blackhawks played there from 1926 to 1929. Two American Hockey Association teams also played there in the late twenties/early thirties.

Circumstances also forced the Hawks to play their home games after January, 1929 for the rest of that season in Detroit and Fort Erie, Ontario.

Just some Blackhawk backstory.

No, they only skated 3 lines back then.
If I had your keen eye, I would be able to put the Q converter over my tv screen and it would highlight the things he was not doing...and thus deserved the demotion, after a 34 second shift.

Hey TG,
Can you let me know where you ordered yours (bolded above)?

I was thinking of ditching cable and getting a ROKU but now that you brought up the novel Q Converter for television (btw, is that the HD model you have or is it from the initial supply which was only in SD???). Now that you're talking about it, gotta have one!

oh yeah, and before I forget to mention, the Q Converter allows you to view young 20-something defensemen and see their play as Norris candidate worthy.

didn't want to disappoint y'all

It is all Q..old school. Straight Analog. You need to get the software, which comes on cassette tape and can be loaded into any updated Comodore 64

I rewatched a ton of games from end of last season, still can't figure out why power play problems were all victor stalberg. never seen him out there. Must have been my screen....

Q is to line combinations as speed dating is to romance.

You have a 5 minute audition.

The other night, i was really happy with Mills' early jump. I've become a big fan of this lad and as pleased that he was looking right at home in the NHL. But then we fell behind and Q started riding the core guys, which makes sense (especially in front of home fans paying huge ticket prices), but sometimes in games like that...you need to showcase the bottom 2 lines more to 'send a message'.

Everyone is talking about familiarity and gelling. Than why have we not seen a Morin, Smith, Pirri line yet? They played on the Hogs together and they played the last game of the NHL season last year against the Blues together and looked pretty good together.

Modern day ABC line... but this group has talent. OMG... the PMS line...

I also wonder if maybe you don't sit Sharp for a game - not as punishment, but just to give him some time to figure out how to loosen his grip on the stick a little - he seems to be the most frustrated of the lads.

But you have to order the bonus kit... rabbit ears, tin foil and the 8 track surround sound system. And the door size Journey poster.

Think you got a better chance of seeing Khabby stop a beach ball than seeing Sharpie sit even though he could use a night off.

He's actually on the top line tonight with Toews and Hossa and the 2nd line is Saad, Pirri and Kane..

Hey EK...

How does Raanta look?

If the defensive aspect of Pirri's game is so bad why is he not with Sharp or Hossa? Kane is struggle defensively too, as many have pointed out he's -9 and Saad is even. Hossa and Sharp are better defensively than Saad and Kane so I'm a bit surprised that Pirri is with 88 and 20.
- DarthKane

I couldn't agree more. Kane and Pirri with a 2nd year player, Saad, seems like a mess in the d-zone. Why not put him between Hossa and Sharp or Hossa and Saad? Pirri needs some help that Kaner can't or won't provide

He faced 47 shots last night. Looked pretty good doing it too. Overall, he's put in quality play. Sometimes he wanders out of the blue paint in order to clear out in back of the net or comes out to challenge a shot when he shouldn't. I think he's still trying to figure out what he can get away with on the smaller ice surface.

But Kane might provide Pirri some feeds in his wheelhouse that Sharp or Hossa wouldn't.

Saad is pretty responsible in the d-zone.

Good to hear.. If the Bulin Wall continues to come apart, we may need him sooner then expected.
