Lets start with this....

Talk about ridiculus, you equate COACH Q God because we won 2 cups. ...why did he not win any before. This is the counter argument to your popular thinking.- True Grit

No I see your point...loud and clear...word for word.....and I guess I keep wondering in between your drool spats what makes you think coach Q marginalized...Ladd, Campbell, or any those players....They were all key components that won the cup....Buff was on the top line during the post season....marginalized??? Lots of players makes comments when they are traded away from a team they enjoy playing for...maybe Campbells comments were about him being upset that he signed a contract with a no trade clause and then.....he was traded and he had to uproot his family.....and screw him....that guy is making 7.2 million a year....and the hawks gave him that contract.....exceeding his actual worth ten fold. He would still be on the Hawks if he had a manageable contract so excuse me if I continue to laugh at your idea he was marginalized....

Bolland is getting to play?......you have selective memory. Since 2010 Bolland has never played a full season because on injury......but I guess being on the injured list is somehow marginalizing him.... [] ......please wipe the drool.

Who has suggested any of those players were in awe of the core......um no one accept the voices in your head.

Q now judges guys on how they act or dress??? What??

And yes after seeing the thousands of people lining the streets of Chicago during the parade Andrew Ladd would love to be back here......in a second...playing in obscurity as you call it.....under Jonathan Toews......again you got nothing.
- UnnamedSource

You are delusional if you think Ladd would want to come back in a lesser role? You have become a red sox fan. So sure of everything based upon a few years of success.

You forgot, Ladd won a cup before he got here, and would not trade anything to be where he is. I loved the guy and believe he was the last guy they wanted to let go.

Buff too.

How has cambell managed he PP? How bout his production? He was not better than Keith on the PP here. But go ahead delusional guy...Oh and the Voices are getting quiet now...got to go.

Players who flourished after they left the Hawks...

Brian Campbell.....1 playoff appearance....on the way to consecutive seasons without one....no cups

Kris Versteeg....3 teams since he left in 2010......no cups...

Troy Brouwer...hasn't scored 20 goals since 2010....no cups...

Dustin Bfuglien.....score 20 goals once in 2011....conditioning issues up until this season.......no cups

Andrew Ladd...team captain for winnipeg....has been solid as he was here....tough guy to let go during the purge.......no cups

Dave Bolland.....early success....may be healthy for the first time in years.....

Froik.....solid addition for Winnipeg with some early success....

.....Whole lot of flourishing.

You fail to see my point, that is the idea that guys like that, the guys I pointed out were marginalized by the coach. And you dont have to believe me, listen to comments from Ladd and Campbell upon leaving. I am sure Buff was shocked how well he performed when given the chance.

Many last here were pointing to wishing Ladd were here, do you guys really think that these guys are/were in utter awe of the core? That is my point. Those guys are happy with the opportunities they are getting elsewhere to not be Q's objects of whatever. Bolland is getting to play...Brouwer, who was not good enough here to get any consistent role, flourishing in having a role. Goes back to my opinion, that Q effs with things more than most coaches. Be a great guy to play for if he likes you, but if there is something about the way you dress or act, and you are on the outside. Time to move on.

If anyone thinks that Ladd would die to be back here, living in obscurity behind Toews or anyone, you guys are high. Campbell loves to watch video of Keith on the power play. He studies and learns.

Look I am not belittling the core at all, just bringing a little reality to those that think these guys walk on water. IMHO, besides Buff, I think Bolland deserved the Conn Smythe that year for his clutch goals and play in 2010

- TrueGrit

I still think Bolland deserved the Conn smythe over everyone. 16 points in 22 games is good really good considering his role. The amazing job he did against the other team's top players was the key. Look at how zetterbrg took toews out at the beginning. Bolland did that all series, especially 2nd and 3rd rounds

So Ladd would rather not play in the postseason instead of going to the postseason every year and win another cup........and I'm delusional??

I don't even know what you are arguing about anymore....no sane person can take the positions you take and be able to function in every day life.....

- UnnamedSource

The only way Ladd would be here is if he was paid as he is now. If you are inferring that those guys wear Blackhawk Undies under their unis, just hoping ......

Be real. You do not think that Ladd relishes the opportunity to build and be part of a team that will make the playoffs and maybe more? Do you think these guys start each year saying...we suck...oh well.

Pro athletes are competitive and wish to leave their mark, not find some loophole that guarantees them something. Which we all know what guarantees are worth? Ladd won a cup before chicago and is a solid hockey player who is the capatain of his own team.

Not having to watch Toews and Kane drive up in Chevy's each day is worth the sacrifice he is making.

I can not believe where this thread has gone....

The last call-ups have eaten into TDL potential cap space. According to capgeek its down about $3M since a week ago. Hope Stan makes some adjustments here to give us some room to add something significant before the playoffs.

Not a fan of Pirri's defense (or lack thereof), but no one on this team is playing defense right now anyways.

- CBHawks88

If he can score and help his line mates score so be it. The D will come around eventually. #88 was hardly a force in his own zone until recently.

really?...and you have no influence on the direction of the debate...none whatsoever

You really think the majority of athletes care what endorsements other athletes get?? You really think Ladd was jealous of the captain because of Chevy commercials?.......kinda marginalizes him to think that.

Most of the time there are two sides to every coin. Most of the time a difference of an opinion makes for a quality conversation. However, for that to happen both opinions or points of view have to be strong. There has to be some sort of evidence to validate the argument on both sides. Some times the one side of the coin is so shiny with overwhelming proof it makes it hard to argue against and the other is rather dull with no real points to make and wanting a discussion just for the sake of. Some times you are just wrong.....like I was...about Brandon Saad last year and other opinions I've had over time. More times than not it seems the goal posts are always being moved with your arguments, you claim we fail to internally process what you are posting, you talk out both sides with different subjects, and come up with some of the most insane view points thinking it bolsters your opinion........it's okay to be wrong. You don't always have to argue another point of view just for the sake of arguing.

Which capgeek are you looking at? It's still reflecting a surplus of a little over $5 million by the TDL. Just like it was at the start of the season.

If the defensive aspect of Pirri's game is so bad why is he not with Sharp or Hossa? Kane is struggle defensively too, as many have pointed out he's -9 and Saad is even. Hossa and Sharp are better defensively than Saad and Kane so I'm a bit surprised that Pirri is with 88 and 20.

I was kind of thinking that also. However, if the organization is desperate enough to give Mills a contract in hopes of improving the PK, I guess Q is willing to try just about anything to make something work.

OMG, really, I did not insinuate Ladd is jealous, just happy in his new position and roll.

Where is the sense of humor? Everyone laughs at those commercials...

Step and realize that a fans story book and emotion do not coincide with a players concern for their career and earnings years. I have seen this first hand in pro sports across the spectrum.

Do you think for a moment Brower, Buff, Campbell, Ladd and Versteeg, long for the days of being top guys, then 4th line guys, then scratches etc? Do you really think a player wants that kind of mental anguish at work? I can tell you flat out no. I loved all those guys and wish we could have tried another run with the group, but when fans get romantic about the past, it does not translate into lillies and butterflies for all those concerned. And that is not a knock on Q, as much as it is recognizing the situation for what it was.

Q has his guys, that is his perogative, to use who he trusts. My point all along is just because he may not trust them, does not mean they would not have been just as successful.

From now on I will indicate I am joking when I write something sarcastic, so you don't use that as your "go to" to discredit me.

Lastly, I realize that we are all paper managers etc....its fun to argue and position. I do not just do it to argue, there is often a point I try to make, which gets lost when someone runs with a part of my position.

In the end this is fun, I hope you enjoy it. I do. I never take it personal, and don't mind a little name calling as it makes it like a bar on the south side. Just cuz you call me an ass does not mean we need to fight. Just means you called me an ass. Maybe I am one. Who cares? Now lets watch hockey, I will get the next round.

Lighten up everyone.

While I agree with you that Ladd (and Buff, Campbell, Versteeg, etc.) probably don't "pine for the fjords) of Chicago, calling the Peg "a team that will make the play-offs and maybe more" is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?

12 points in 13 games, 5 wins 8 losses....

Biff and Ladd have 3 years in Winnipeg (Atlanta) - no play-offs yet. May have thrived individually without Q (as they actually did with Q), but no team success yet.

Cuz Q obviously has lost his mind. I just hope he gives the guys a game with the lines for once and TRUSTS the players. This shuffle the cards every other shift crap gets old with a veteran team. Kind of like why Q was available to take the job when it became available.

Definitely, but they are part of something. They have committed. It is a tough league, I know you know that.

Would Buff rather come to the rink knowing he is gonna play 27 min a game and get the chance to play his game, or be on a yo yo here? It is human nature. We all would want him, but situation not likely gonna happen here.

Looking forward to the game tonight. Somebody steal Qs pen before the game, so he can jot down new lines mid game.

You think he writes things down!?!?!? Huh... More like he shakes the magic 8 ball. Should I jumble all the lines 5 minutes in? Shake.. shake.. "Signs Point To Yes"
