If that's their goaltending and defense after a completed rebuild then someone needs to be fired. This is the sort of move that a true contender makes, not a bubble playoff team. The Islanders are likely going to walk away with nothing at the end of the season.

I agree a lot of players could do what Moulson has done if they played on JTs wing. Look at Dupuis in Pitts.

I wonder if the Isles also looked into Miller and Myers. Both guys coulda fit in perhaps.

Moulson must feel like $hit right now.

Imagine if they really blow it up and move Staff, Miller, Mouslon and maybe even ott. Could have tons of picks for the next couple of drafts.

You still need veterans in a rebuild though. I think he'd do a lot of good for the younger players. Of course, if someone is going to offer something stupid for him then take it.

I like this trade for 2 reasons.

1. Good trade for the Sabres and about (frank)ing time it was a waste of time him being here and he has been playing like it.

2. I am actually excited to see how Vanek goes there, I want it to work out for him and the Islanders. I could see him staying there if it works out well otherwise he will be in Minnesota next year.

Miller must know he is next now.......
