Whether or not Vanek signs an extension plays a big part in how good of a trade this was for Islanders. Have to wonder if they had been given permission to talk to Vanek's agents about that stuff to be willing to make this trade.

He's actually a really good player on his own, it's not like how Kessel drags Bozak along.

Still, Moulson will have full control where he wants to go, could end up back in NYI.

I think you gotta pull the trigger on a Miller deal sooner rather than later right? Looking at the return Vanek got, Miller could bring in a similar one.
