It'll be interesting to see how Vanek plays with a guy like Tavares. Pressure will certainly be on him now. Up until this point he's been covered in a veil of excuses with the Sabres lacking a number 1 C for what seems like forever. If he can't excel with JT his value may suffer in free agency.

I think Moulson is going to be really motivated coming here, as crazy as that may sound. He was pretty vocal about being moved off of a line with Tavares. He's got something to prove right now. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens though.

It does not address the goaltending or defense. Vanek will score 40 goals but the same issues the Islanders have had will still exist, they traded for the wrong Sabre.

I'm not sure, but I feel like Moulson is more consistent from game to game than Vanek is. Vanek will get 20 points in 5 games and then disappear for 20. Last year alone Moulson's biggest point drought was 2 games.

Never said he was bad. He's not close to being bad. In fact he's closer to great. Like I have said . I used to love Vanek. I just am not fond of him anymore
