Honestly. Love the trade for both guys. But Carter is a the biggest surprise to me. Hes so good in both ends of ice. And he skates so damn good. Hes a really good penalty killer. that franchise hasn't been the same since they got rid of carter and richards. on paper, the haul they got looks good i guess but in actuality, they've gotten worse and worse as the young players they traded for have gotten older and older.

quality > quantity

carter is a very underrated player. he's capable of potting 40 goals any year.

I think Philly did good with the Carter trade. And should have kept Richards. But that was gonna be a problem. Since both guys took a discount to stay there for the team. They left money on the table for that team to have money to add to the roster. Then you move one. The other is gonna be very upset. Im ok with both trade. Kings werent in the mode to wait for Schenn. I love the salary hit for both guys. Just Carters deal is really long.

Philly fans will always say they won the trades because of all the guys they got. And how many points they put up vs the two guys. But theyre missing the character they got rid of.
