OR, it would have hit him and there would have been NO (frank)ING REASON for OT or the shootout
- Artyukhin76

But then I go back to a couple of the great saves he made. We can play this game all day long. The fact is that he was solid in a winning effort. What more do you want?

but what kind of goalie positions himself for a ridirect and not an initial shot? if any goalie did that they wouldn't even make it past highschool hockey no matter they had NHL potential or not
- RileyB77

square yourself to the shot, THATS ON NET!!!!
that (frank)ing thing was headed down the Zamboni tunnel for (frank)s sake

thats what he was doing to the initial shot, then it got redirected, he wasnt going to square himself to the redirect lol

it doesnt matter, we have 2 goalies that are letting us win, and i still think we have yet to see lindbacks best , but it has to come soon because like youve said bishop is outstanding for us so far

And thankfully most of the comments I've seen from people here and on Twitter agree with me...

huberdeau could have had 2 or 3 goals if not for lindback , and he made a nice blocker save on a partial breakaway as well

I don't remember who the shooters were, but he had a real nice sequence later in the game too. Sprawled across the crease to stop a couple grade-A chances.

we will never know lol..

it doesnt matter to me because we won, i dont care if we win 10-9...we win, as long as its not a permanent situation im fine with it lol

lindback played fine, he let in 3 goals on 32 shots...thats not bad at all, and he made some key saves ...huberdeau was 50% in shootouts and he stopped him, thats good stuff...barkov had him beat but lindback got his glove up just intime to stop it , he looked good

he looked good through the beginning of last season too, then took a tremendous dump in the crease. until he can steal a game, my money (and all of ours should be) on Bishop

haha you use that saying quite often i have no idea where it came from its crazy haha

he doesnt need to steal a game, all the lightning need to win games is good-solid goaltending , except the mulligans like chicagos game...even if we lost that nobody would bLAME the goalie ....unless it was lindback, the people would probably find a way to make sure he took the blame

Forgetting the five game stretch before he got injured? You're giving up on a guy who's still young and developing. Where was Bishop at Lindback's age?

sitting on the senators bench / in the AHL
for the record i have nothing against bishop at all, and if he steals the show and runs with it then so be it, but thats not the situation right now, the situation is that he has got way more playing time than lindback and the show has not been stolen by anyone yet, yes bishop has the edge, and yes he has better numbers, but lindback will still get his games to show he can play just as good, and if he cant, then im all for bishop..

i love them both

If Lindback was on the same team then he would have been in the same place.

I haven't given up on anybody. he needs to get his poop right and consistent to make this fight for the number 1 spot a real fight, because Bishop is female dog slapping him all over North America right now.

do you honestly think that Lindback was going to push past Anderson, Elliot or Halak? that far off in left field

he was given the first game and played decent, but if your coach gives you the season opener you better (frank)ing steal the show and he didn't. did he play well? yes. did he rock out with his cock out?

this team is young, still learning, developing, and growing each game..you have patience with them and accept some of the young mistakes they make and can respect the fact that everythng will come together, but for now we are growing

how come you cant have the same outlook on lindback? especially when hes not even that bad lol...hes played good tonight and will continue to grow as well,

he played good enough to give us a chance to compete and win, and thats all you ask from a goalie...not every goalie can stand on his head each game

bishop stood on his head in chicago...then he poop in boston in a 5-0 loss..yes the team was bad infront too, but lindbacks games the team wasnt very good in front either

No. But that's the point. They would have been in the same spot. Give Lindback time to develop. He has all the tools, and he's shown flashes of brilliance. Be patient, Arty.

there's the difference. first Buffalo game and first Chicago game and our team sucked and what was the final result?

our team didnt suck the first buffalo game lol we were all over them

it doesnt matter, it is still too early to see who will take the job (if anyone does) 11 games into an 82 game season. there will no doubt be negatives on both sides of the goaltenders and what we can agree on is that we dont care who gets the job, if their letting us win and outplaying the other then its fine. lindback hasnt been brilliant but hes given us chances to win, so has bishop.
