It's near impossible to comment on other teams blogs if you have an association to another team under your name.

especially as a Leaf fan.

Hey man what do you expect. You have the largest fan base in the league your bound to have the most bumholes there are also lots of great ones. Ones who have stuck with that team through thick and thin and I applaud them. Its the ones that only watch the saturday night game that seem to give everyone else the bad rep

the Kessel Deal was good. Sabres, Canucks, Capitals and Blues have never won and I was happy to see them in the playoffs. there, does that make it all better?

there is only two reasons for me to be an ass:
1. someone comes in here (frank)ing trolling and needs a beatdown
2. someone comes in here (frank)ing with our blogger (only I'm allowed to make him mad )

You're bang on Stuart.

The Leafs keep ending up being the recipients of great puck luck. This can not be sustained. I won't buy this (frank)ed up getting outshot game plan until the season is half over.

After 40 games, if the Leafs are still solid, then it is a different story...

- IRON.MAIDEN

Absolutely. Agree with all this. I like the Leafs. I find that they play an exciting brand of hockey. There's a lot of good pieces there. I hope they can put it all together and start actually carrying the possession game.

I'll meet you 1/4 of the way.
Goal 1 he kicked out a big, fat, juicy rebound.
Goal 2, if he just stayed put (the shot was going a mile wide) then no goal.
Goal 3 , that's all Palat.
Shootout goal, WTF was he thinking? Lindback, you're not Mike Smith, don't (frank)ing do that.

Easier said than done , when a defense man takes a shot from the point any goalies reaction is to follow the puck and MAKE SURE it goes wide of the net and doesn't sneak in , it's like playing badminton or volleyball and following the ball making sure it goes out of bounds instead of it landing right on the line and being in , the redirect would not have been saved by bishop ( can't say for sure , but...) ... He let in many many redirects vs Pittsburgh and others that weren't as nice as that one

if he didn't go try to chase a puck going wide, what would have happened?

The puck got redirected like hash marks , not close enough for him to tell ... Those shots come in fast and goalies need at least a second to react , he was preparing himself for the initial shot .. A redirect towards the net almost always goes In unless the goalie gets lucky and it hits where he is positioned at the time , he was steering the puck wide like any other goalie would do ,

here is a topic that NOBODY is talking about. Steven Stamkos and the complete evolution of his game from being a point whore to being a 3 zone, 200 foot ice surface point whore .
17 points (8g, 9a) in 11 games with a +8 and a shorty goal.

Rick Tocchet got Stamkos on the right track, now Jon Cooper is pushing him beyond .

I don't know which goal it was but the one he kicked out those rebounds need to be cleared by the defense man or not given up at all by the goalies so that could of been avoided by lindback or the defense man but it woulda been hard to make the initial stop without kicking out that leg , and the goal he let in give hole could have been prevented by lindback as well , he went for the poke check and made himself vulnerable at five hole and they took advantage of it

Leave poke checks to goalies that use there stick for something other then a leaning post during whistles

not true. I'm cheering for him, but to steal the #1 spot from Bishop, he's going to need to play a whole lot better then this, or he won't be doing much more then collecting dust sitting on the bench

but what kind of goalie positions himself for a ridirect and not an initial shot? if any goalie did that they wouldn't even make it past highschool hockey no matter they had NHL potential or not
