In hockey, nothing is ever a sure thing. Why can't the team play hard from the drop of the puck till the buzzer? There has been too many games in the past couple years that the Oil play well for 20 minutes only to poop the bed for the other 40. It's not always the goalies fault for leads being blown, it's also assignments that are missed or not keeping the pedal to the floor to finish the opposition off.

In hockey, nothing is ever a sure thing. Why can't the team play hard from the drop of the puck till the buzzer? There has been too many games in the past couple years that the Oil play well for 20 minutes only to poop the bed for the other 40. It's not always the goalies fault for leads being blown, it's also assignments that are missed or not keeping the pedal to the floor to finish the opposition off.

In this case: it is the goalies.
Any other team scores 4 goals, they win. Everybody but the oil. All those shots from the point, an elite goalie stops them. Yes the D could help, but I only remember ONE game that Dubby won for us: against Columbus, he stopped close to 50 and we won when we did not deserve it. But one goal does not make him for an elite goalie.... not at all.
We need them gone. Bring Bryz, whatever.

The play in the defensive zone hasn't been very impressive. How can you fault the goalie on a deflection or a man being left alone in front of the net? Poor defensive play is a major concern as well.

Two of the goals were from rookies standing in the way and actually deflecting the shots. Any tender will tell you...Stop it or get out of the way. Arco and Yakupov, total rookie mistakes.
