No biggie! I can understand why you might have thought that, how it was worded.
- MJL

ya, I'd really like to get Big Buff, I think he'd be an awesome addition, I'd just hope to keep Voracek and Coots. I actually wouldn't mind seeing BSchenn traded for him. That's not necessarily a knock on BSchenn, I just think we have other players that could fill his role for the foreseeable future.

Well I guess we disagree on that one. I would not trade B Schenn for Byfuglien.

The Flyers played their best game with Rosehill in the lineup. He's obviously the key.

If 2 teams each give up a 4th round pick for Mike Brown, it has to be possible to get something close for Jay Rosehill

Patience is the key.

Ek's been blowing the Buf horn for a couple weeks/months. are we being patient with the currrent D prospects waiting for them to help? If so we're out of it for three or four years. D help isn't coming from within, we all know it. if we want to be competitive a trade will need to happen. You aren't getting that for one of our defensive defensemen,

I don't know about that. It could be shorter then that. I think it will be at least 3-4 years for any of the young defenseman to be a top minute player for this team. But to help, it could be shorter. It's probably going to take a combination of a trade/free agency/prospects to rebuild the defense,

What we need now is an effective minutes eating defenseman, preferrably with some offensive kick. that guy might be a current prospect but he's 4 yrs away from that. no team is going to wait four yrs. there'll be a trade and people will complain because you need to move a piece. just kike like jvr and schenn. I don't think they'll take a risk. it will be an impact trade this time and these threads will roil.

Not interested in Big Buff. Rather just patchwork and give Kimmo's money to A. Markov this summer. Are the Habs going to have money to sign Markov and Subban?

I know you cant bank on Markovs availability, but Im in no rush for Big Buff

yeah man, the caps going to blow. they structured the Subban contract brilliantly. they'll get both resigned with room to spare. the only frree agents will be the unwanted.

if it's a fair value trade, for the right type of plyr, at a comparable age, people will understand...and hopefully it will have the desired effect.

I think patchwork is what we've been doing. We just need to swallow the shame and pay the necessary price to fix the problem correctly.

Well Subban will want 8 years, $7.5 million and apart from Gorges the rest of their defense are all UFAs. So it will be interesting to see how they make it all fit.

Eller will be after a big raise, too.
