jolly p used to be my favorite american brewery but i have noticed their recipes seemed to have changed, they seem to be trying to appeal to the hoppier market and it just isn't working for me. i wish they'd just make some new beers instead of changing my old favorites! my pub has a keg of this year's oro, but they got sent a bad keg so i didn't get to try it

this was a barrel aged belgian blond style, not hoppy at all.
a little oak flavor at the finish I wasn't crazy about but otherwise a top notch brew

Drei Fonteinen blew me away, Cantillon style

i think it was behind the play and not shown in live time. i didn't see a replay either but i could have missed it.

did they show it or did you happen to be at the game?
- hogweed

They showed one replay, because, as you said, it was behind the play, so they didn't have multiple angles or they didn't want to embarrass Rinaldo. They wound up calling a hi-stick because the stick rode up on the player, too. It really was a penalty -- for the life of me, I don't understand what he was thinking. The player didn't even have the puck. There was no reason to initiate contact.

It was clipping; he approached a player from the side, maybe even slightly behind, and got him low; the player didn't even have the puck, which was why I knew it was a penalty.
- AllInForFlyers

the puck was coming, but Zac got there first

Zac was fired up because Rosey fought Bolton after Bolton laid a big hit on Zac in the first, and I think that caused his play after that to be overly aggressive

Rimouski to me yesterday was just out of sync as a team.

It is a bit cleaner then Cantillon, less Brett but very classic and too easy to drink.

when rosehill is in rinaldo gets that extra dumb gleam in his eye
- -davies-

I completely agree with this. Rinaldo just seems to play much, much smarter when there's not a goon-influence on his line.

I'm not sure why Rosehill even needs to play. If things get chaotic out there, and we need to have a fighter on the ice, just send out Emery.

Flyers played good last night. It is a building block win, was not perfect but it was actually a good win. Played good on both sides of the puck. Vorachek had a couple bad turnovers in the d zone but was using his speed on the rush which made up for it. I liked all the lines, but come on get Jay R out of the line up our fourth line cant be playing less then five minutes a game. They at least have to be competitive and I cant say that about the fourth line. Talbot played great, Rinaldo had another game to forget. He will get it together but I don't like Jay R. I wouldn't mind to ntry to pry totoo out of Detroit for cheap but I doubt that will happen. But overall good game for the flyers lets hope its just not because the islanders were tired from the game before.

i was kind of hoping for them to get tootoo too seriously, i think he's be the right kind of 4th/3rd line agitator for this team

Re: the 4th line- They should just go with Talbot-Hall-Rinaldo, with the option of flipping Raffl and Talbot late in games when protecting a lead.
I wouldn't mind however, if they could get a better 4th line center to replace Hall. It would be nice to have a 4th line C that can chip in a little offense now and then.

Giroux may be Nodl'd soon by some of the fan base.

He is "Fraud" Giroux.

- Marc D

Until he scores he is Fraud Giroux to me. Yesterday was better but he is still far from the player that should have received the contract and C he got. I think he turns it around, but it is getting frustrating.

honestly I don't care if he is doing the scoring or setting up the goals as long as he is playing well and his line is scoring.

I just don't see how this team can do well without him scoring. Setting up goals is important also, but he needs to be scoring.

Stolarz yanked again only saw the 2nd goal which he left a fat rebound. From what I read the 1st goal wasn't his fault. Looks like this was done to create a spark. The team has played pretty sloppy the last 2 weeks.

Considering he's getting paid mega bucks (8.25/yr starting next year) i'm very concerned.

Crosby leads the league in points. Meanwhile Giroux has 5 points and is a -5 in 10 games. I ran out of time while writing this post to look up other top players in the league and compared their starts to Giroux's.

I was under the impression Stolarz isn't even projected to be an AHL goalie?

well like I said, as long as his line is consistently scoring I don't care if he ends up with 0 goals and 80 assist.

with London hosting the Memorial cup, they really need to get it together this season. But that said, its Oct so there is A LOT of season left.

They are taking a hit losing Maatta & probably Zadorov. I imagine they'll make a move soon to sure up their defense. Some of this is not at all on Stolarz but he can also be better.

Well Stolarz was pulled after giving up 2 goals and his replacement has also given up 2, the spark they must have hoped or hasn't happened.

Junior league coaches are much much quicker to make a goalie change & isn't always a sign they are playing bad but in hopes it sparks the team.
