Khabibulin was in net so crappy netminding from the backup doesn't rate a post...or my theory is Khabby signed his program in the autograph line and Crow blew him off; hence the hard on for blaming all goals on Crow.

Exactly... Just curious if he would rather have Khabby in net tonight

True, but it was the high stick that dropped the puck into a position to be knocked backward into the net in the first place. Preventing this is is obviously part of the intent of the rule. Otherwise you might have high sticks flailing dangerously all over the net in the hopes of a lucky break.

Didn't Dumba's stick hit the puck in the net while it was sitting on stoners ass which was facing outwards from the net.

So: is the rule that the puck is dead once it hits a high stick?

And the ref made a mistake (which he would have gotten from the war room) about the other team not controlling the puck?

I don't believe so, but now I want to see the replay again. As I remember it at least, Shaw's was the last stick to touch the puck, and Stoner kicked it in. If this isn't true, and Dumba got lumber on it, then I might join the chorus of boos directed at the Toronto War Room.

That is what I am questioning, why didn't the ref in his explaination say "the puck was knocked down with a high stick, play should have been stopped"? They didn't, which means that something happened after that, but what? It either should have been a good goal (due to going off Minny player), or play should have been ruled dead. They cannot make up these rules on the fly.

Not sure if this has been brought up already, but a terrible night for Kruger. He's been on the ice for all three goals thus far and then took a ridiculously stupid penalty to put us two men short. One the first goal, he lost yet another face-off on the PK, which seconds later led to a goal. How many of those have we seen already. Of course, he's a Q guy, so I don't anticipate him missing any ice time.

Not that I've ever heard of. But it can't go into the net, nor be the cause if it going into the net in a messy, greasy sort of way.

Haven't really thought about it before now, but it seems like Kruger has the biggest "hangover" on the team. He doesn't seem to be what he was last year.

Oh, and lest I forget to mention the PP is a friggen joke going on year 4 now. 0-5 with a total of 4 shots on goal. Sooner or later that miserable, embarrassing PP is going to really cost them. They overcame it last year because their PK was one of the best in the league. Now that that has been terrible thus far this year, the ineptitude on the PP is going to cost these team a lot of points.

If I were Q, I'd instruct my team to be on a constant 3 on 5. Wild will spend the entirety of it passing back and forth, then finally launching a shot 18 feet wide of the net
