I know Fucale would be apart of it most definitely, if the oilers are looking for immediate help then it would be ONE of Beau/Tinordi, with a roster player from the habs - Mapleleafs_91

is he though?
hes a good player, but abit of bandaid. with the emergence of eller, gally and gally, I thought maybe he might be abit more expendable.
either way, its all just bs ek thread talk.
you're most likely right |

mmm in my view i think hes their best forward at the moment. Yakopov is a good potential player and the only way it would make sense is to get an overpayment by getting key pieces like a tinordi, like a beau, like a fucale, 1st rounders are always nice or an established player on the roster that is pretty decent but expendable. Besides Subban, Price, Paches, Galchenyuk... pretty much anyone on that roster could be expendable for a trade. Reaching for those guys will will be hard to get included into a deal or any deal involving yakopov only.
We know price aint moving anywhere. We know subban wants to remain in montreal and is an elite talent i think is worth way more than yakopov as of now. We know only reason yakopov to habs makes sense is because of galchenyuk. And lastly i believe paches is their best forward while yakopov on your team is about what? 4th/5th best? |

I don't see how this could work for both team. EDM needs D and a goalie and has too much forwards. MTL Needs size and also has too much forwards. The only way it could work is MTL giving a established defensive D, a good prospect, Fucale and probably a pick. |

I remember before the 2012 draft, Pierre McGuire was on TV running his mouth and saying the Habs should be offering the #3 overall + Subban for the #1 overall.
Which would have been Galchenyuk + Subban for Yakupov...
And McGuire was interviewed for our GM job a month before... Nasty! |

Gorges brings leadership to a team i would be afraid to let him go for this only reasons. I think it could be a good fit in Edm since they really need some leadership. |

Would cost Subban. - Iggysbff
Agreed, even if you want to argue that Yakupov's value is less than a top5 pick Edmonton will not trade him for futures. Futures can be included in the deal to pry Yaks away from Edmonton but that's it.
Edmonton would take no less than Subban & Fucale. I get the feeling they would want a replacement top 6 young forward as well. I can understand that the deal would be way to much for Montreal to pay for a risk but that is the price if you want a former 1st overall pick with the potential of scoring 30-40 goals a season.
Yakupov, N.Schultz
For
Subban, Bourque, Fucale, 2014 1st (lottery protected).
Too much to pay for the Habs? ABSOLUTELY! That is the point, you don't get a guy with that much potential who was a 1st overall pick ONE YEAR AGO for easily replaceable pieces, I don't care how bad you think Yakupov is playing right now.
Either pay up or shut up, lol.
