An Oshawa Laughton jersey would run $181 with shipping........tempting.

That's more than I'd want to drop...I'm thinking of buying my first Flyers jersey in 4 years...not sure who to get.

Oh, good...ignore the notice demanding you to turn in your man card, nancy boy
- Jsaquella

I only have Shirshies, pretty much. I have 2 Giroux, 1 each of Gagne, Briere, Richards, Read, Forsberg, Pietrangelo, and Datsyuk. Hopefully Santa will bring me Vinny. I have a Briere jersey...one of the black ones with the orange on the wrist.

*Poor college kid here. I don't want any flak for not having $185+ jerseys

I'm well aware than fans can't make trades, but is this trade offer close to fair value?

Alex Edler(assuming he'd waive his NTC)
3rd Round Pick and/or Jordan Schroeder(can fill in as a 3LC or winger, waiver eligible player).

for

Jakob Voracek
Tye McGinn

Edler's been solid this season under Torts, but the defense is just fine with Hamhuis and Garrison also being left handed defensemen and a 2nd line upgrade is really needed.

Carolina signed Rick DiPietro to a PTO for their AHL team...DiPietro before tossing a one year deal for low cash at Bryz?

You're keeping poor children in a sweatshop out of work by not buying cheap jerseys from shady websites

How about Simmonds instead of Voracek? If that works for you, I'd be happy to comply

guess the idea that there were some off ice considerations had some merit. RD makes bryz practically look like marty in his prime...

yup. pretty much spot on. I dont know if i want to do that, just bc i think the flyers are 3 years away from being a consistently good club and i just dont want to get older

I just find it stunning that his reputation is that awful.

Reese doesn't get enough credit IMO, looks like his work with Mase has brought him back to form..Who knew goaltending would be the least of our worries.
- Hextall271

Hard to give Kudo's to the goalie coach after the issues we've had the last decade with goalies.

Mason's played great, whether that's Reese or not i'm not sure.

I'm a big fan of Edler. And he's the exact defenseman this team needs in my opinion. It's just awful hard to give up Voracek.

It seemed self explanatory. He's a Rookie, who is playing in NA for the first time, and he's played a handful of NHL games. Hard to know exactly what he's going to be. Or if he'll develop an offensive game of any level. Too small of a sample size to come to definitive conclusion at this point.

Oh wow.. that's hilarious.. People pick on Bryz a lot, but Dipietro over him? You're right, that's based on reputation not performance at the NHL level.

Reese hasn't been the goalie coach for the last decade, but what he's done with guys like Leighton and Mason has been solid. I know people will say Leighton is terrible lost us the cup etc, but he played over his pedigree with Reese. There was information posted recently stating that Reese changed some aspects of Mason's game and it's helped.. ie: he's playing back further.

Given what Reese has had to work with, he's done an incredible job. He got two journeymen vets to play their best NHL level hockey. He got Emery to return to being a good NHL goalie after his KHL stint. Bobrovsky came over from Russia and had never played on a North American sized rink and he played well for the Flyers.

In Mason, Reese has been given a talented young goalie that got into some bad habits and got him straightened out. Mason's numbers since coming under Reese's tutelage are elite level numbers.

14 games, 6-7-0 record, 2.04 GAA and a .940 save %. Sure a lot of that is on Mason being willing to work harder and and communicate better, but Reese has worked long and hard with him.

Sometimes we as Flyers fans blame very quickly, but then forget to give people props when they do well.. Mason is playing fantastic for what's been an underachieving team..That's kudos to Mason and Reese.

The really amazing thing, that Mason has done, is he's really limited weak goals and he's been able to rebound strongly when he does allow one.

Like the Carolina game-he let that one weak one in, and was a Stone wall after that...Columbus Mason has that dribbler turn into two or three goals against, because he gets down after that one bad one.

Reese has made him comfortable and helped him focus more.

I said it before, if he brings it like this for all say 65 games, I am good to take a 3 year chance at starters wages on him... He's also done this while losing most games because of poor play in front of him.. that can be hard on a tender getting zero goal support.

Absolutely...I'm not sold on him 100% yet, but he's been very good so far. He's been stellar at times and pretty good throughout. I don;t think he's allowed more than 3 goals in any single game yet.
