The Isles have some damn good forwards,
And Hamonic is a nice core D guy to build around.
This is a pretty good team they are playing tonight.

The Isles are a real up and coming team. Flyers overall are having another strong game defensively.

This stupid mighty wings commercial.

The goose dancer at the end doing the ba da ba ba ba thing
Kaepernik making a noise resembling a (frank)in animal
Flacco saying "He got mah mighy wings yo" in the voice of a high school jock lacrosse player who's high all the time

There's similarities between the teams, though... Isles only have one 'elite' player, some nice complimentary vets, some inconsistent youngsters, no true top-pair dmen, and a makeshift goalie tandem.

They could have traded away Okposo a million times already, but they stuck with him, and he's acquitting himself nicely now.

Luckiest Cup run I've ever seen... from the way they got in, to unlikely players getting scorching hot, to the 0-3 comeback, to the string of favorable matchups... luck just ran out in the end.

Still can't believe they got so much out of Leino and Leighton during that run...

The stars sure as hell lined up in every conceivable way. I don't think a 7th seed ever had a home playoff series in the conference finals......

I like the comparison.
Some of those Isles forwards are pretty speedy.

I was just thinking the same thing. The Isles have been real patient with Okposo.

I give Berube credit for their improved team D.
I think he is moving them in the right direction.

Grabner literally gets 2-3 breakaways a game... it's absurd.

This will be a big step for them to close this game out.
Give them a lot of confidence moving forward if they can pull it out.

The problem is that most people would rather have Hamonic and/or MacDonald over every defenseman we have, and Tavares is just coming off a Hart-caliber season at 23 years old.

There are some comparisons -- I like Mason better, and it's not like we don't have any good players.

But they're younger, and getting better. I'm not sure...we just need our young guys to perform. If they do, we're right there -- and hopefully, we'll find a defenseman, somewhere.

They really remind me a lot of that original Homer reload/rebuild team... young, fast, moderately skilled, hungry, never say die.

I agree with that...they have a bright future. A few holes, but doesn't everybody?
