Bulin was bad last night and he was bad the other game he played too. JJ is right Raanta should get a look, could he be much worse than what Khabby is giving them? - BlazinMike
It seems as though Kent Simpson has played better at the farm. He should get the first look. |

Looking at the Hawks stats this morning, I did not realize Kane is a -6 through 10 games. He does seem to be working harder than ever defensively, but man that is not good. Imagine where he would be if it was three or four years ago. |

I have 2 glasses: one is half full, and one is half empty.
I supposed I could combine them, giving me one full glass and one empty glass, but the total bi-polarity of it would probably shut me down.
On the one hand, despite the 6-1-3=15=75% of possible points, in the real world (the one without the artificial NHL scoring system), the lads are 6 wins 4 losses, with half the games going to extra time, and the rest all one-goal games. Basically, they are a little better than a .500 team after 10 games.
On the other hand, I really see a team that had carried the play in most of the games - with too little to show for it scoring wise, and with too many lapses along the way, but still, a lot of o-zone control, and defensive goalie protection; good enough goalie play (except for last nite). Pop another couple of net shots and we're singing a different tune.
The low-scoring one -goal leads leave no margin for error, so that it seems that every breakdown costs the team a lead or a fame, every breakdown lis (correctly) magnified as game-changing.
So, I don't know what to do with two half glasses.... |

Offense overall looked good.
Any line with Hossa on it is the best line.
Khabby was bad on the 1st, 5th and 6th goals.
Rossie looks old and slow on D
I wouldn't expect a vet like Zues to take a stupid penalty late in the game
I believe it was Smith who failed to get the puck deep during a line change that led to the 4th goal against
Stamkos is the most dangerous forward in the NHL, and St. Louis isn't too bad either
All that said, the Blackhawks outshot and outchanced the Lighning by a wide margin. |

Brought same up today but keep in mind Kane was a -3 last night.
Actually only forwards who are minus are Kane and Toews.

TT update: In 4-1 victory Teuvo had 0+1. Was centering the second line again. - MjulQvist
Does he look like he is getting more comfortable at the position? |

Wasnt the penalty a new rule just instated at the start of this season? Not making excuses, just saying i yelled out "Hes in the D-zone! hes allowed to hand pass!!"...completely forgetting about the rule that you cant grab the puck off a face off ever anymore. |

Rozsival, Handzus and Khabibulin all had bad games last night but I'm not too worried about Rosy and Zues. I think Q just needs to use them properly and they'll be great assets to the team. Rosy should be the 7th defenseman more often than he is the 6th so he's fresh for the playoffs. Zues should centre the 4th line and sit out every 3rd or 4th game. These 2 guys are who they are, it's not their fault if the coaching staff isn't using them properly.
Khabby is a different story, I'd give him a few more starts before making any decisions but I'd tell Raanta to be ready. |

Freight rates are always cheaper when the rig has a backhaul to home base. Who's getting back on the bus to Rockfish? - RickJ
Depends, but no has to leave right away but someone will find their way back sooner than later.
Pirri getting more ice time than Smith... so Smith might have the 1st short straw.

Yes don't have to right away although at some point don't know how long they will want young a young forward sitting around.

>He's a kid I root for
>Really thought his career got a bad break when he was cheap-shotted and concussed on a hit from behind at the World Juniors -- and then the early pro career Rockford concussion that kept him out most of that year
>Have nothing to base it on but a hunch, but I do think Morin could still turn out to be a real NHL "goal scorer" (still only 22) |

I do too. Kids showed guts and a nice shot. He could be a bit of a sparkplug if he can skate well enough. |

I'd just like so see a return for the 2010 purge. We had Stalberg for a while but now there's nothing. Morin was a big part of the Byfuglien trade and it would be nice to get something back for that deal. |

You noticed that there's zero return from the 2010 purge too. |
