i don't believe i referred to him as a homer.
i feel like he does this for fun, and lacks the integrity of a professional. - jimmy mcnaulty

You're very cool, someday, I hope her eventual boyfriend is at least 83.5% as cool as you are.
It's ok, I also have 3 sons who will make sure she is ok during her dating days |

i follow a couple teams..living in brooklyn gives me access to 3 pretty easily, and i have family out west so kings/ducks are cool with me too.
i'm more a fan of the game, and the league (at times) when they get it right (post-season)..but so frustrated when they get it wrong (discipline, labor negotiations, not having a team in quebec city etc etc)

not having a team in QC maybe a romantic story but it's certainly not a failure on the part of the league.
the league is in better shape than it's ever been. |

Besides a another team returning to a failed market, what do you want exactly? Should Bettman buy you a pony? |

i believe the "failed market" was merely the strength of the american dollar versus the lack thereof in it's canadian counterpart, at the time of relocation.
now you have teams struggling a bit in the southern part of the us, while winnipeg is able to fill it's arena, turn a profit, sell tons of merch etc etc.. |

not in this case. its all about revenue and the league has never had this much of it. |

QC is questionable due to the lack of corporate money/support and the fact that the entire province of quebec is struggling economically.
and winnipeg is the smallest market in the league (QC would be if they got a team)
if the honeymoon starts to fade (its time to win) than any drop in revenue could be catastrophic.
and good luck trying to get free agents to sign. |

enlighten us. if you think QC not having a team is a league failure or that the league is somehow not doing well, you don't know what you're talking about, albeit articulately. |

Boston plays tough, honest hockey. Sabres are cheapshot artists, and it's getting old. There is no comparison between chara and scott. The sabres fan claiming Eriksson is NOT a top 6 forward was also funny.

because of 2 blogs that ruffled your little feathers?
You're not familiar with other work apparently, and I dunno why I am defending here but it's more the premise than anything.
And saying the biggest part of the Sharks game was a hit by Chara, nope, not at all. Very limited talk about that outside of a few Sharks fans, who have been very good about the situation, and BUTT HURT Buffalo fans that are sour over the John Scott fiasco.
Biggest story of the game was the Sharks were outstanding, played brilliant and managed to lose as luck was on the B's side along with absolute amazing goaltending by Rask. That was the story of the game, sir. - MrBeanTown
If there was no Scott/Eriksson incident this Chara hit would not even be talked about. The only thing we should be talking about is a barn burner of a game that was won in the last second (literally) |
