It's just the first 9 games or so. I'm sure his numbers will go up, but maybe not a point a game. He should be up there though

PS, I love how the Islanders beat the Pens last night. I still wonder about Nabby as your tender though. Would the Isles go after Miller? I think that might get you deeper in the playoffs.

Point taken -- I'll acknowledge that.

I still think "playing the right way" is simple code for "stifling scoring," and it seems to disproportionately impact Russian/European players, but again, I concede the point of your post.

Playing the game the right way, and paying attention to detail at both ends of the ice. As well as bringing the proper work ethic and attitude to the ice, doesn't stifle scoring. It enhances it. Does it make any sense why Eakins would want to stifle the scoring from Yakupov?

I think he can get to a point per game. I think he's pressing, and his hand prob isn't right yet. People in fantasy are trading him a lot, but I think he's still a solid player. He may not make Team Canada anymore which is really making me angry because I think the experience would be great for him..

He needs to step it up soon (hopefully not tonight). The flyers are struggling and he's their captain. He needs to play well and get them started. Having 3 assists isn't doing anything to help the team the was an offensive captain should. But that being said, I wouldn't trade him on fantasy now. If he doesn't pick it up soon I would

Me too
It was a great game last night and very good to get the win in regulation when they really needed it. I don't know about miller. He's obviously better than what we have now, but he's 33 and is a free agent after this year. It would really depend on what we need to give up. To give up some good prospects for a rental isn't worth it. I would love a deal that includes Vanek also

I swear, he has hit probably 5 posts since the beginning of the season.. I can't imagine how frustrated he is coupled with the poor start for the team. I think he is due for a breakout kind of 4 point game. The way we played Thursday, I can't see it happening vs the Isles. Mason would have to stand on his head for us to win 2-1.. amazingly enough, goaltending doesn't seem to be an issue anymore... thank god!!!!

Would Anaheim do that though? I know they've got Fasth as well, but I was thinking Miller would be more obtainable? Is Hiller a UFA as well?

The isles defense and goaltending have not even good this year so anything can happen. This could be a good win for the isles tonight at home coming off a good road win against another divisional opponent

One factor that should play in but won't is the fact the Isles played last night.. The way we are playing that gives you guys the advantage. Also, if you want a guaranteed win, play your backup... Poulin is it?

I think with a few more key moves, the Islanders could be one of the top teams for a number of years. Buffalo is undoubtedly going to want youth in return. I think that would be a mistake for the Isles to give up youth for Miller.

Those post hits have been from distance if I remember correctly. I think back on the Season and think about how may times Giroux has been in the slot or around the net. Not much. he's been a perimeter player, and has been forcing plays.

Every flyer fan is gonna say Giroux, every islander fan is gonna say Tavares. I would obviously take JT
- NYI44

I believe this question was posed over the summer and I said JT. He's more complete
